Guys from group CAMERA are really active lately: Magicians is their another new cam, after nice rips of Knocked Up and Rise. This is a British movie which reminds me about excellent “Prestige” a bit, although this is a comedy. People rank this film at nice 6.4/10 at IMDB, but most reviews I read through don’t share this optimism and talks about standard or even little below-standard production. The quality of this cam is not bad – little darker in corners and not completely sharp, but definitely watchable.

From the hottest new British comedians Mitchell and Webb and the creators of the award-winning ‘Peep Show’ comes MAGICIANS – a hilarious new British comedy set in the world of stage magic. Lifelong friends Harry and Karl (David Mitchell and Robert Webb) are the greatest magic double act in the country. But after a guillotine illusion goes horribly and spectacularly wrong, their friendship and their careers are finished.

Now, down on his luck and out of cash, Harry sets his sights on the prize money of the prestigious ‘International Magic Shield’ tournament. But to win he will have to compete against the world’s oddest (and saddest) magicians – including his deadly rival Karl, performing under the guise of ridiculous psychic ‘The Mindmonger’. Can new tricks and a new assistant (Jessica Stevenson from ‘Confetti’ and ‘Spaced’) help Harry to triumph over his underhanded opponents and his disastrous past?

    Thanks for posting a video sample, sometimes its hard to tell how good a cam is from the screen shots. Be good if this was possable for all cams

    Good Cam. Audio is spot on. Video can be quite flashy between light and dark, especially on the out door scenes. Although there aren’t many of them.

    There’s one mobile phone ring in the film and a bit of coughing, also the last 5 mins is completely black and consists of the voices of whoever was camming this :)

    As for the film. Funny as hell. If you love Peep Show then you’ll love this to.
