cubase, pro tools, sonar etc are too bloated, you dont need 90% of the stuff on it … so progs like reason, traktion and the old cool edit pro are more than you need for professional sounding multitrack recording and producing/mastering with some added high quality vsti.
just make sure you have the best mics and cables to record with, they cause the most noise you try to get rid of after. listen to albums to get an idea how to mix, pan, edit, etc.
to add: obviously you need an expensive audiocard too, 200+ bucks and high end pc, but that speaks for itself.

o i see i would need a good soundcard my pc would be ok its a 4600 amd 64.i hope buy putting in a soundcard my pc wont over heat like my 8800 gts video card.the mystique 7.1 is the card im thinking of getting.

Like the guy before said, if you get yourself a decent audiocard (above 150 dollars range with multiple in-outputs), decent mics (again same price range as audiocard), professional cables and you have a dual core PC, 1GB RAM, which is clean (no adware/viruses etc) and runs stable, then you will be able to have pro sounding recordings.
Of course mixing and mastering makes the difference, using the best plugins for EQ and reverb, etc. which you can dl at magesy.

Alex, if you dont care for the speakers on the K2237, then the Acer. Both have same-ish performance, but the Acer has better resale value. Problem with Acer is you have to have a decent videocard to be able to get the max out of it.

Alex, should do although it ain’t the best card around. But the max res of the Acer is 1680×1050, your card can do that.

To use keygen:
- install program
- run in demo mode
- open ‘about’ in lower left corner and copy down machine number
- open keygen and use whatever email and name then copy in machine number, click generate it saves
- click unlock and use offline and open tracktion key

Okay I got a question I am wondering if this is a false positive I downloaded this program just to see what you all’s hype was about dealing with this program. (Ask me the program sucks sort of like childs play, stick with what the pro’s use, and I am pretty sure they don’t use this one for after scanning my computer this program came back with the zxx adware virus in it… Scanned with (Stopzilla) and by the look of security pages this virus is pretty nasty and hard to get rid of…. * The following behaviors have been observed for this object:
* Installs programs.
* Deletes programs.
* Creates Run Keys.
* Runs other programs.
* Communicates with web sites using httpout protocols.
* Has outbound communications.
* Creates registry entries.
* Creates run keys for known malware.
* Creates known malware.
* Creates copies of itself.

what a crappy program, this one really sucks balls
As most people here has already sugested, the best setups are the simplest ones. I use a USB condensor mic, Reason 3 (reason 4 didn’t suit my creation process), Adobe Audition and occasionally a midi control/keyboard to get me that extra organic feel in the creative process and my guitars etc..
I found the one thing Reason fails at is that you can’t just do a live multitrack recording so you could have a guitar track record live while playing the reason backing track and then add in a track for vocals to that live. The best you can do is have it play a pre recorded and synched guitar track at the same time but if u stop the song at all, you have to go back to the start ofthe song just to hear it again unless you took the painful time of cutting the guitar/vocals etc track into smaller pieces… hence why I use Adobe Audition to synch everything up.
