For those of you who are fans of foreign films, this is a real treat. HLS has brought you the unrated version of Oscar winner Ang Lee’s new film. With good ratings all around, this is sure to be a decent watch. Seeing as the run-time is 158 minutes, HLS definitely did a hot job because the samples look great. According to NFO, subtitles exist for the release.

Synopsis: Lust, Caution is the new film from Ang Lee, the Academy Award-winning director of Brokeback Mountain and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. A startling erotic espionage thriller about the fate of an ordinary woman’s heart, it is based on the short story by revered Chinese author Eileen Chang, and stars Asian cinema icon Tony Leung opposite screen newcomer Tang Wei.

Shanghai, 1942. The World War II Japanese occupation of this Chinese city continues in force. Mrs. Mak, a woman of sophistication and means, walks into a café, places a phone call, and then sits and waits. She remembers…

… how her story began several years earlier, in 1938 China. She is not in fact Mrs. Mak, but shy Wong Chia Chi (Tang Wei). With WWII underway, Wong has been left behind by her father, who has escaped to England. As a freshman at university, she meets fellow student Kuang Yu Min (Wang Leehom). Kuang has started a drama society to shore up patriotism. As the theater troupe’s new leading lady, Wong realizes that she has found her calling, able to move and inspire audiences — and Kuang. He convenes a core group of students to carry out a radical and ambitious plan to assassinate a top Japanese collaborator, Mr. Yee (Tony Leung).

    In this movie, the female lead gave the male lead a blowjob and they even had full blown sex, all in the name of ‘art’.

    Where is the female lead going to go from this move onwards? She will never be truly a great actress and everyone will only remember her as the blowjob girl and not for any other roles while she may do later in her career.

    It’s a shame because i think the director had went too far and exploited the female lead. Do you really need the actors to have sex in order to convey a certain emotion? I’m not even sure what’s the difference between the female lead and a porn star. Maybe the female lead thought that taking up this role would propel her to movie superstardom. Well, she’s wrong.

    They’re not – it’s a separate download. If I rename the subs to the same name as the movie, will that work ?

    @81.Sorry, I meant if the subs are in the same folder as the movie, they will be added automatically.If the are not in the same folder or aren’t added automatically, right click on the movie you added in ConvertX and click on add subtitle channel.

    @82 The HLS subs were out of sync for me too, heres what I did, I joined the 2CDs into one using VDub, you have to use VDub-MP3-Freeze, if you use Virtual Dub, you’ll get an error message saying something like the audio does not match, after that I downloaded Lust.Caution.2007.DVDRip.X264.AC3-PRiMUS.srt, Link:

    This is a 1 CD .srt file to go with the .avi file you created by joining, it works perfectly with the HLS release.
