DiAMOND’s newest release features Oscar winner Javier Bardem in the main role and that should be a good enough reason to try it. Frankly, it’s only an averagely rated romantic drama, and with a 139 minutes runtime, will mostly attract fans of the genre. Quality of this 2 CD release is very good.

Synopsis: Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s novel LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA straddles the line between pop and art, and manages to be both a bestseller and a literary masterpiece. With an excellent cast and a timeless story, Mike Newell’s cinematic adaptation strives for that same balance. As a young man in 19th-century Colombia, Florentino Ariza (played primarily by Javier Bardem) falls in love with a beautiful woman named Fermina (Giovanna Mezzogiorno). But an overprotective father (John Leguizamo) and too much reality intrude on their romance, and Fermina marries a successful doctor, Juvenal Urbino (Benjamin Bratt). But a wedding ring–and the passing decades–aren’t enough to dissuade Florentino from his love, even as he beds hundreds of women as he tries to get over his undying passion.

    use a program called Fast AVI MPEG Joiner. it joins to files into 1 real fast, and you dont lose video quality or anything.

    u can find it on the usual places..

    It works great and merges the two .avi files in just a few minutes

    actually, that is the title of the book the movie is based on. if you had attended your HS lit classes at all, you will realize that magical realist works are given to florid language and lush (and far-out) situations, frequently bordering on the supernatural. of course, it doesnt hurt that littoc was written by a most popular nobel-prize winning novelist in this pedigree (altho ‘100 years ‘ is his best work).

    it is generally agreed that this movie is a poor translation of the book, but your post sir, nevertheless demonstrates, as the cliche goes, nothing less than your own ignorance and possibly, a retrogade thought process

    I was actually the executive producer on this film (don’t worry, I don’t care about the piracy - that’s what the studio does…).

    Anyway, the name might be a little dumb, but it is the name given to the book when it was translated into English, so we had to keep it. It wasn’t our decision. When a book wins literary prizes all around the world, you’d be a fool to change the name when making a movie out of it.

    Well, I hope you like watching it more than I did working on it. It’s not fantastic, but it doesn’t suck.

    The easiest way I’ve found to join videos would have to be using mencoder. For AVI’s it’s as simple as

    mencoder cd1.avi cd2.avi -oac copy -ovc copy -o final.avi

    The registered moviex.info downloaders are laughing all the way to the bank. They are downloading from each others and also from all you unregistered useless tools. Needless to say, they are getting this movie (like all else) at full F’in speed, while they are not uploading to a single unregistered downloaders.

    I’m getting so frustrated with this BS, downloading movies at F’in ridiculous speeds while registered moviex.info users are getting it full speed. Nice going you titwanks who downloaded this torrent and did not remove the moviex.info tracker from the torrent.
