Love and Other Disasters is a slightly older romantic movie released now in a new dvdrip by VoMiT. Although it looks like a pretty minor, unknown production it stars Brittany Murphy in the main role and even Orlando Bloom in one of the side roles. Released as a standard 1 CD rip with MP3 audio.

Emily Jackson lives a fast-paced life. Always on the go, able to talk around the clock, with a sensitive soul she loves playing matchmaker for her friends. It’s Emily’s gay roommate and frequent companion Peter, who becomes again the subject matchmaking skills when handsome new photographer assistant Paolo arrives at the Vogue offices, where Emily works. She makes it her mission to bring the two men together. Unfortunately for her, she is so busy arranging a love connection between Peter and Paolo that she remains completely blind to the one suitor who longs to provide her with the loving companionship that she so cheerfully arranges for others. And so it does make sense that Peter, a screenwriter in the making, starts telling the story from his own point of view.

    Just a warning for fangirls (and boys) who are getting this solely for Orlando Bloom, he appeared for literally thirty seconds. Ditto Gwyneth Paltrow. I’m sure if you search around YouTube or similar sites you can find the clip.

    This isn’t a bad movie, I just find Brittany Murphy’s pseudo British accent incredibly irritating. Her character’s explanation as to why she switches from British to American accents back and forth is because she was raised in both countries. O-kay.

    @13 My explaination is that she’s just a bad actress.And the director is crap for not keeping her performance in line.

    Martin, All The Boys Love Mandy Lane is a good and fairly popular movie. Scene release or not you should cover it.
