Lost S03E23 HDTV XViD-Caph

So I finally watched it, the grand finale of LOST’s third season. This was a double-length episode called “Through The Looking Glass,” which concluded the third part of the story - released during today’s night as two separate episodes S03E22 and then S03E23 by group Caph. Both releases offer good quality.

(Spoilers) I consider this season finale way better than previous final episode of Hereos. It was basically one of the best episodes of the season, if not of the whole story. This song played at the beginning, awesome! I was shocked by the ending when we realized it’s not the classic flashback with Jack and Kate at the airport, but actually a future flashback. This means at least these two get off the island, but Jack probably realized it was a mistake to make this call which will probably lead Lostie to their rescue. Many other questions have been raised - what’s the secret of Naomi, what will happen with Ben, did Mikhail survive the explosion and so on. The only bad thing is the waiting now: we will have enough time to talk about all theories, because the next, fourth season is scheduled to start in February 2008, which is a terrible long time. The show should end by 2010.

    Wow, it doesn’t come back till then? I don’t watch the show, but you’d think they would learn their lesson when it was gone so long midseason and the ratings went downhill. Looks like they are going to try to film a full season or something therefore no breaks.

    Yeah Season 4 is going to without any breaks. Like 24.

    It will consists of 16 episodes and will be aired from Feb-May 2008.

    ARGH my brain. So many questions, I can’t wait till february :(

    Great season though, loved it :) Went a bit bland during the middle of the season but got better and better towards the end!

    What about the island itself? We still haven’t really learnt why ben and that are doing whatever it is they do. Protecting the island? Who from and why :(

    Episode 22 seems to be missing some of the start. What do you all think/know? No “Previously on Lost” at the start - but not every episode had that, and did anyone see any opening credits? I only flicked through and am tired…

    Lost doesn’t have opening credits, only a small glimpse thing with the LOST logo moving towards you.

    I stoped watching after s2e4 , but a good song is always nice. What the name of thats song in the begining, i dont want to download it just for that song ^^ When it comes to shows like this its Heroes is the best right now.

    during the future flashback, or whatever it was, when Jack had the argument with the new doctor he said something like “bring my dad down here and….” does this mean his dad is alive, he died right? …so is this future flashback really what it seems to be? …and who had died that Jack got so upset about when he read the newspaper?

    –POTENTIAL SPOILERS–

    A “future flash-back”? It’s called a flash-forward lol.
    I think that for the last 3 seasons we will be seeing these flash-forwards rather than flash-backs. For the first three seasons we got to see the characters’ pasts, now we’ll see glimpses of their futures along with what is currently happening on the island which eventually leads up to those events.
    I’m guessing that the entire series’ “present” will take place on the island itself, and by the time the show is over, we will have a complete picture of what takes place after they’ve left the island through the flash-forwards.
    Just a thought!

    i actually suspescted it to be a flash-forward right int the beginning because he pulled out a motorola krzr phone, and when they crashed it hadnt been released.. It would’ve been too big of a goof for them to overlook this, since the krZr was only released in march 2007 or something… just a thought.

    Worked it out within the first 30 seconds it being a flash forwards just because of his (jacks) reactions to being on a plane.

    Initially I was in two minds if it was going to be a future flash or a present day flash showing a living 2nd Jack who survived the crash mentioned by Naiomi.

    The’ve shot themselves in the foot a little with the peek into the future because it shows they (survivors) can get off the island. And in showing Jack wanting too return too the island the show looses it’s momentum with the present day story of them wanting to leave.

    There wasn’t the usual ‘Previously on Lost’ at the start probably due to the special episode ‘Lost-The Answers’ that was aired last week, a day after s03e21 was shown. It was a recap of the entire show up till that latest episode.

    It was pretty obvious that Jack’s dad was alive in the future. This is, of course, like the good old days of LOST where they showed you something simply to mess with your head and get you thinking up ALL SORTS of rubbish about the who/what/where/why/when of LOST.

    Remember when they showed us Hurley in a mental institute and we all began to think it was Purgatory they were in because Libby was there? I really wish they would just do the two 24-episode seasons instead of breaking it into three seasons. That seems kind of annoying honestly.

    Oh and that Heroes Season Finale was a huge letdown for me as a fan of the series.

    I don’t think Jack’s dad was alive in the future. They just carefully worded the dialog to make it more ambiguous as to what point in time the ‘flash’ was taking place - so that the ending would be more of a surprise.

    If you’ve watched the whole finale, check out the name of the funeral parlour Jack visits, it’s “Hoffs/Drawler Funeral Parlour” if you rearrange the first part you get “flashforward” pretty good easter egg they threw in.

    the dead person in the coffin with no service is more than likely someone who is currently on the island because he said he thought kate would have been there. maybe sawyer?

    as for the whole flash forwards it doesnt mean anything.
    the whole charlie dying, then it all being a vision thing proves they can show something and take it back at any time. thats if they do, and yes what jack says means his dad is alive, and yes he was actually transporting his dead body in a coffin on the plane!

    I thought it was a Future flash….not because of a model of phone….but because Jack was drinking like his Dad….if you remember Jack before his dad’s death was pretty much clean cut, not drinking and all that….

    as for the future Jack and Kate scene, that will most likely be Desmond’s flash when he gets back from the Looking glass…as I feel John gave up a little too easily :) I’m hoping somehow that they can get Desmond to save Charlie (which would be possible (as he has drowned…..doesn’t mean he’s dead though….probably me just being hopeful though….I quite liked Charlie)

    can’t wait to see the next season…..unfortunately we all have to :(

    I was hoping that they would have had John do more though

    and yes out of 24 Finale Heroes Finale and the Lost Finale Lost wins…..which halfway through this season we were all beginning to think they really Lost (pun intended :)) the plot.

    It WASN’T a flash forward. the episode started with jack on the plane and then flashed BACK to when they were on the island.
    and it was stupid. why did they bring back walt? i don’t understand why he HAS to get back, they weren’t doing anything. they were trying to get off the island. and the things they were doing, such as the hatch and the button all ended with no consequence. There is no point to anything that seems ‘major’. and lockes dad showing up? seriously, what the hell? o wait, no they did explain it, the magic box.
    i don’t see why people think the show is so ‘intellectual’ when they just keep making crap up instead of explaining anything. And things they don’t want to explain they just stop talking about… black cloud, desmonds flashes, walt (not just in this episode, but his voodoo powers and why shanon was seeing him’…. i think i’ve given up all hope of an actual plot or intelligent finish that will wrap anything up. the finale was NOT good, it was horrible and i don’t care that its coming back in feb. And btw, i know they are playing all 16 of the new episodes back to back, but then u have to wait till the next season, 52 weeks in a year pals, do the math… and you get 3 more ‘glorious’ years…

    But nevertheless, great season finale of LOST.
    Also, I thought charlies death was stupid, he coulda ran out and closed the door behind him? Stupid rock singer.

    My thoughts:

    1) The coffin, it was Sawyer. Jack assumed Kate would go to the funeral because he was under the impression she was in love with Sawyer. Sawyer was the only one who truely would have no one show up at his funeral.

    2) No , Jack’s dad is not alive as he was being taken in a coffin back to L.A on flight 815 when it crashed. Jack’s comment was merely a (a.clever way to throw us off about the fact that it was a flash-forward) or based on the fact that he lives under his dad’s shadow and destined to be like his dad.

    3) In the beginning of the episode Jack is in an airplane simply because as he stated to Kate, he has been flying all over the world “on the vouchers they were given” in hopes of it crashing.

    Perhaps once off the island, they all or some beging to go thru Island withdrawals and begin commiting suicide (as Jack was about to) and perhaps the coffin resident was one of those casualties which is why Jack seems so desperate to contact Kate and desperate to get back.

    I do question Naomi’s role though and the boat offshore. If It’s not Penny’s boat then why did Naomi lie about looking for Desmond? Obviously Desmond has a bigger role in this matter.

    Anyway, this was defenitely the best episode of the season and am glad they were able to pickup speed after tossing away a couple of episodes with lameness. Kudos and looking forward to next year.

    For those of you who didn’t quite get it, go back and watch it again at abc.com . Knowing what you know now, it may make more sense.

    myslead: In case you’ve forgotten he wanted to make sure that Claire and her baby got off the island. Desmond told him that he had to die and therefor drown for that to happen so he sacrificed himself.

    I believe that it was Ben in the coffin. He was probably the only one that could help Jack get back to the island which he so badly wanted. And why would he want to jump off a bridge after reading that Sawyer is dead anyway? Doesn’t make any sense, I bet it was Ben.

    It may have been ben but then why would jack expect to have seen kate there? And what about ben’s ‘daughter’? ya she hated him but do you think it was enough that she wouldn’t have shown up at his funeral?

    and one other thing im not sure about, anyone else notice kate wasn’t in jail? she is still a murderer and a fugitive.

    I agree, why was kate not in jail, but boy she is pretty with make up eh?
    I did notice the show really emphasising the fact ‘they shouldnt make the call from the satellite phone’ Locke also saying ‘it shouldnt be this way’ and then with jack telling kate ‘they should never of left’. the show is definatly heading the way of all the main characters not leaving the island, because realisticly what do any of them have to return for?

    my guess for the jacob thing was asking for help so people didn’t come to the island.(?) im not really sure, i just hope he’s not like the black cloud that used to be around alot, then we saw it a few times and instead of telling us what it was they stopped talking about it hoping we’d forget

    yeah thats the feeling you get, but we will not forget!! the thing with these shows we will be shown maybe not today maybe not next season but they do always clear up any loose ends, especially with the quality of the writing of lost, the writers they are toying with our minds, its very cleverly written, by the end we will know what the black cloud is, and its NOT walts dog as ive just been reading on the lost forum!!!

    When they met near 2 airport he told her that he wish to crash again and go back 2 the island, But she told him : ” this is cannot change “.
    - Jack tell Kate : ” i’m sick of lieing , We made a mistake “.
    And 4 sure she marry to Sawyer , And she have a car so she is rich now .
    - So in Last he told her that they have to go back and that’s mean they left ppl there or they start dieing one by one, The paper he took from the newspaper have a title :
    ” Los angeles , Man found …. downtown ” .
    - Another thing , Did u see the maps on jack desk ? Y he trying to find the island ?, The part between the call till they get out of the island is the key .
    - Jack try to kill him self before he visit the funeral and if he waiting to see kate there or care about the died man he’ll not do that .
    - Jack’s dad is alive for two reasons one in the hospital and second in the prescriptions office when he give her the 2nd description of Oxycodone.
    - Naomi’s 4 sure work with Penny’s father cuz they found the pictures with her and Penny don’t know about her , But wt make Penny made this transmission is for sure spying on her father cuz she was in father’s office and she found this machine and screen in same time sharly shut down it automatic connect with the office, The map behind her have a locate for this island that’s y her father try to find the island .
    - Last thing if see it again Sharly can get out from the broken window and desmond not use the gun to open the gate.
    - Naomi died cuz this is the locke job to stop them get out from island and that’s y he bombed the submarine.
