Lost S03E19 HDTV XviD-XOR

Well well well. Another episode of LOST is the history and we can slowly start to think about Season 4, which is getting closer with every week. This 19th episode called “The Brig” was pretty much average in my eyes (spoilers): Locke got rid of his father, who turned out to have an important connection with Sawyer. This was quite surprising, but it was also a clever way how to fill Ben’s quest – kill John’s dad – without messing his own hands. We don’t know why, but John begins to prefer The Others for some reason. He also stayed with his old friends, when he informed Sawyer about Juliet’s role in the story. Back on the beach, Desmond and others revives the unknown woman (Naomi) whose helicopter went to the sea.

There’s also a visible change in people’s relation to Jack – almost noone trusts him now and he just strengthen this when he talks with Juliet about telling “something” to other survivors, in front of Kate. We could also see Russeau taking a box full of dynamite without giving a reason, so she can plan something as well. I’m really looking forward how this all ends, but the idea about next one, two or even three seasons makes me little angry. The producers should inspire themself from other TV shows like Heroes, where’s something constantly happens, because I can’t imagine next 40 or 60 episodes of LOST with current story flow. Oh and by the way, may be it’s just me but I found the XOR release little bad, the video quality was slightly lower than usual standard.

Episode summary: After abandoning the Others, Locke takes Sawyer on a trek through the jungle to help him eliminate a common enemy. Meanwhile, back at the beach, the parachutist Naomi has crucial information about flight 815.

    People still watch this now-gone-crappy show?

  2. May 3rd, 2007 | 19:04

    Well… some spoilers tell us about the ruins, conflict in Dharma, changing our opinion about the Others (as bad guys)

    it can be still interesting, because of multiple heroes and plots, not like Prison Break where everybody is dead or prisoned again…

    Lost goes through periods of being utter shit filler episodes and ones with substance. I enjoy the Life on mars/lost feeling that you have a bunch of characters that seem to be way in over the heads and looking at forces that you can’t even begin to understand (thanks in part to the mind blowing plot)

    I wouldn’t go and say it requires intelect as such… but it does a masterful job at creating a sureal atmosphere and gets you thinking…

    It’s still a great show. “Average” is a pretty retarded description, much was revealed and the plot moved ahead quite a bit. Looks like next episode is going to be even better, can’t wait.

    Oh, and her name is JULIET, not Julia.

    The episode was ok. I thought last weeks was more revealing, as I believe it explained the whole concept of the series. The pilots last remark, “You’re all dead,” answered everything.

    *spoilers*

    I think they are dead. They are in a purgatory like place, to attone for their sins. All of them have a shady past somewhere, and when they’ve finally “paid there dues” they can be “released” by death. I think the Dharma guys were somehow trying to experiment on getting to this “other plane of existance” because while they are here they don’t have any physical ailments. It is almost like a virtual paradise. A few of the key things to keep in mind are that no one was concious when they came to the island. (Juliet was drugged, remember?) And no one has really been able to get off, which is why the sub was destroyed. It was there to make the people THINK they could go. Yes, i agree there are a few holes in my theory, but i think as we watch the show you’ll see that im not too far off. I also think the idea evolved out of the first season. Original plans had changed, which was acknowledged by the writers, because Walt specifically, (with his ’special powers’) was written off because he grew too quickly.
    Suffice it to say, i don’t think the show is as good as it was, it peaked in season two. If you want to watch a REALLY good show, check out the 2003 version of Battlestar Galactica. Yes, i know it sounds gay, but just give it a chance. Its one of the greatest tv shows ever made in my opinion.
    L8r! Im goin to watch spiderman 3….. :D

    OOPS! one more thing. Lost is ending next season. The creator J.J. Abrams (i think thats how you spell it) put his foot down on it because too many people were being put off by the slow pace at the beginning of the third season. This way the show can go out in style instead of being cancled due to lack of interest. Which i think is how it should be.

    @basketcase57

    That is completely unfounded and pure speculation. An end-date has not been announced yet.

    @original poster

    JULIET. Do you even watch this show? Next time save us the BS and just post the torrent, assclown.

    Agree with Martin, Lost has fallen off the rails, and is plummeting to its death.
    “the only one that actually requires intellect”….Yeah, sure. Black Smoke monsters, a Messiah-Delusioned Oracle named Desmond. Paralysed men (Locke) randomly gaining there entire leg use back.
    It’s a very deep, fulfilling drama.
    I used to watch it for its absurdity, but even lately its been dragging a lot. Average episode. AVERAGE.

    i agree this is an average episode. last weeks was much better. i just started watching this from the beginning, it def. is not as intellectual as most fanboys say it is, but its still interesting to watch.

    at least it’s better than prison break. The second series was complete crap – ‘omg we has a plan OH NOES it went all wrong!’ for 20 odd episodes. Wish they’d left it at one series.

    CTU has released a proper version for the 720p version:
    Lost.S03E19.PROPER.720p.HDTV.x264-CTU
    date: Thu May 03 2007

    NBS’ rls has an ugly green line on the right side. While 720p shouldn’t be cropped/resized, you should use crop/addborders to get rid of these ugly artifacts that last for a significant amount of the episode

    “[...]go watch fast food shows like “heroes” or “jericho”[...]”
    imo Lost is much more “fast food” than Heroes or Jericho :|

    im surprised martin you didnt know about the sawyer triangle because i revealed it on here a few months ago!!!
