The producers/writers swore up and down that everything could be explained by today's scientific knowledge Other emphatic denials of what the show is about seem to be lies as well. They should have kept their mouths shut and let their work do the talking for them. While I'll continue to watch, the show has taken a crazy-train turn into the ridiculous (beyond it's usual) in much the same way Alias did with all the Rimbaldi crap storyline at the end. I guarantee if "24" had Jack take on an extra-terestrial alien invasion, instead of the usual "illegal aliens" attempting to subvert the USA, that the show would bomb. Maybe the mystery is better left unexplained. My only remaining hope is an island hotties wet t-shirt contest before the show concludes/fizzles. Lost has jumped the shark with this episode.
