Lost Planet Extreme Condition READ NFO-HATRED
We all knew it was going to happen what with the whole homemade ISO controversy of the last version. This time around its group HATRED that have released a “different” version of Lost Planet Extreme Condition which was previously brought to us by team UNLEASHED. Surprisingly for HATRED there being quite humble about this release as usually they would be quick to engage in a verbal slanging match with anyone they feel is “inferior”. Maybe there just saving there strength for another round with ViTALiTY…
Anywho HATRED say that this is just a different version of the game hence why there’s no PROPER tag. What is different about it is that they haven’t remade the ISO like UNLEASHED did so you have to install steam if you want to play. Whats more impressive is that they have found a way to play online! Read the NFO for the very lengthy notes on how to get this to work. Don’t be surprised however if Valve change the way steam works in order to stop us all having fun so grab this release while multiplayer is still working. A very big release though wieghing in at about 7 GB which is about the same as UNLEASHED version, so it requires a DVD9 disc to burn. It will cost you about 14(!) GB to get both versions of this game to ensure that you can play both offline and online so here’s a little guide for people who just want to grab one version but don’t know which one better suites them:
UNLEASHED version: No Steam, offline Play (only). However a big minus for having no online play at all and for remaking the original ISO.
HATRED version: Online and offline play, original ISO. However you have to install crappy steam bloatware/spyware even if you want to play offline. Plus Online play might not be available for long.
I hope this helps you a lil bit as this isnt an ideal, but you have to make the best of a bad situation. Good luck and have fun fragging!

anybody know if this game is any fun on LAN? im lookin for some fun LAN games to play w/ a buncha buddies (all on PC, windows xp)
our lan parties always turn into a disaster… it all starts with “i just wanna check my mail”, “i just wanna check the auction house for this item i need”
then it turns into a full blown all out world of warcraft session with 12 people on 12 different servers all different levels, lol
if anybody can recommend this game for lanning fun? or any others for that matter (the new transformer game?) please post suggestions!
Sounds kind of like the Vengeance-release of HL2. Probably very different code-wise but I’m not a coder. Looks like great work on HATRED’s part.
I think i will stick to the Unleashed version as i prefer not to have to use steam to do something naughty as i have a proper account and wouldn’t like them banning it if they found a new account with an illegal game on it from the same ip.
@nayab9: Unless you have a slow connection or a bandwith-limit or something bad like that, just download anything that might be even remotely fun. Then you can all try them out. Usually you find at least one fun game that you all can play.

You have to wait until someone uploads it on NTi. Alternativly you can copy the release name and search other torrent sites.
STEAM is both spyware and DRM(ware).
for those whiners who complain and bith about vista and its DRM (funny how they do that on pirate sites) they happily install and use STEAM which is the biggest piece of spyware there is. not to mention the DRM is far worse than vista’s. it requires you to authorize (read: ask permission) to play games you’ve bought. you have to ask permission to play a game “offline”.
not to say you shouldn’t shit on vista… just shit on any company who forces DRM on its customers. hold them all accountable… otherwise you might need help in getting your cranium out of your posterior.

I am usually satisfied with the quality of the news posts but this is ridiculous.
Mulitplayer has problems in the original game. Many, I mean most people are not able to play online anyways. So, if you got unleashed, stick with it. The game could be better for PC, if they actually took time to fix it up a bit. No difference as compared to playing on the console, and there’s reason why I don’t play console games…My last PC port ever..

Having a big problem installing…
Every single time I try to install, after I use the memorypatcher.exe and enter the serial key, Steam says their servers are currently too busy to continue. Whats the deal with this? Are their servers really so shitty that no one can install 24/7? I’ve been trying every 30 min for 2 days now and no luck at all…
Is there any way to get the Unleashed installer by itself?

If you skip the step about copying the NCF files (check nfo) you will get that “server is busy” error

I also tried it, did it step by step at least 20 times so far, really getting annoying.
I’m guessing Steam somehow addressed the hack program allowing it to install with a fake key? Has anyone had luck installing it this way recently?

the hatred version does not install. while the STEAM sets up files and prepairs for installation, a window pops up that “The Steam servers are currently too busy to handle your request. Please try again in a few minutes.”
I’ve tried for several times and other machines with no success…any tips or idea? i think the hatred steam version does not work anymore….

Get the Unleashed 1.2 Update, they included some files for the Hatred Release, copy them and follow the steps it should start installing

3. copy new NCF file from Unleashed 1.2
4. run INSTALL via STEAM
and OK.. running

i put steam_api.dll from c:/*/steam
and then press, lostplanetdx9.exe and then crash…
i press lostplanetdx9.exe whit steam online (icon tray) i did with steam offline mode (icon tray) and i did whitout steam (no icon tray)
in all modes crash…

I had the same problem and tried what natas did.
I also tried with the Unleashed crack, and with the older HATRED crack with the same result.
I think the steam_api error has something to do with having steam running, but even when it is the error comes up.
Anyone else have a solution?

if you only wil copy the data from demo, there wil be some problem with game (you wil not see the cooperatives …) so you must copy the data from hatred folder one again to game dir (…Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\lost planet extreme condition ) and now game wil work propper

if you do not copy the new ncf file from the 1.2-unleashed you cannot install and will get “servers busy”
but, after installation on launch you get: “missing steam_api.dll” no version of this file I have tried works.

Cause i only want it for LAN mode, and when i try to create a server it stays forever in the “creating game” screen… have to right click to cancel.
Because this release doesnt install steam i am worried that multiplayer is broken and doesnt do nothing. i dont read it isnt possibile, but i dont read it is also..
Please help, and if there is a way for LAN mode to work, post the solotion.

the “missing” steam_api.dll is in D(C,E,F,…):\…\Valve\Steam dir copy them from there and data from demo edition just like I was writing before
1. data from demo “E:\Program Files\CAPCOM\LOST_PLANET_TRIAL_DX9″ to “D:\…\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\lost planet extreme condition” dir and again
2.the data from hatret folder (on ISO DVD) With “my” lost-planet-extreme-condition-read-nfo-hatred version is working but you must copy the data from demo to this same dirs ( in demo and full version in main folder is nativepc folder) you must owerwrite data two times!!!

I can sure you Musashi111’s way working with the demo and hatred+1.2 patch from unleashed….and also i can sure you the whole game is fine, because i’ve already finished the game and it wasn’t even got a single crash or reset…
1. install the game with the same way you read in the nfo file…+ use the unleased 1.2 patch hatred directory…and you wont get the server too busy message…
2. when you asked the serial…copy the 1.2 patch too…use the memorypatch from hatred and use the 111111111111…. serial code
3. download the singel player demo (i used the directx9)
4. install it too
5. copy the steam_api.dll from the steam directory to where the .exe allocated
6. copy the patched steam.dll to the same directory where the exe is allocated
7. copy the hatred patched stuff to there too
8. and finaly copy the whole demo nativepc directory to where your files are allocated….overwrite everthing, if you prompted
9. then start and joy the game (im not sure, if i overwrite the exe with the 1.2 patched exe file, if the game doesnt start, do that…it must be run…i promise)
and dont forget to run the steam
keep in mind who find this out as a first in a whole world

I did it alma’s way but when i start the game i get the following:
user authentication failure
this happens when i am at the menu of the game and than it just shut down the game
never mind about my post forgotten to copy and past the patched steam.dll
How long does it take to load the next mission after you wake up in bed? it takes forever on my pc with a core 2 duo e6600 i think the level will never load just saying loading everything is moving so the game is not freezing

IN my NFO file it stats that I need to

dude, you should copy all the hatred ncf files to \steam\steamapps\ and then you have to copy thelostplanet1.ncf to steamapps and then it will work

im having the same problem that erik and man have, the game opens and i play the first mission but when the second mission loads it just stays loading. it sucks, it took me 3 days to download it and now i cant play it.
Is there anyway for me to install the Hatred Version because i don’t want to download the UNLEASHED version because it is 7.3gb so there is no need for me to download the whole game again.

Yesterday i installed the game without any problems…
But i cracked it with the wrong way, so i had to install it again because it was a mess… I thought, will fix this tomorrow… (tomorrow is today) today i tried to installed it again but now i’m getting the “Server too busy” error…

I just downloaded Lost.Planet.Extreme.Condition.Update.v1.003-HATRED, and copied the .ncf file from that release to the SteamApps dir. I can confirm that the installation works like this. No ‘the server is busy’ message. I’m still installing the game, so I don’t know if it will actually play, but I’m confident it will

Hmm, the singleplayer campaign seems to be working fine with the new 1.003 update, but for some reason the Online mode is grayed out in the game menu. I was under the impression that the Online mode was working on the HATRED version. What am I doing wrong?
PS: I installed the gaming using the new .ncf, then copied the nativePC dir from the Demo over the installation, and then copied the updated files from the installation ISO and then from the 1.003 update over it. The Steam.dll comes from the ISO, and the steam_api.dll from the Steam root folder.

Yes. Put the file expandLP.bat created with the notepad in the folder where the game will be installed (put the files extracted from simpack15 in the same folder too).

Put this: set SRC=”F:\goldimage\LOST PLANET EXTREME CONDITION_disk1.sim”
Yeah you only have to change the quotation marks “”
It will work fine….
But another problem. I only installed the game by Simpack15. I didn’t install steam and I don’t want to do that.
There is a way to play without Steam??

Dante i put the sim15 in directory created log expandLP.bat and put in same file then went through installation told me no server avalible then quit steam and clicked on expandLp.bat and it did nothing is there something i am missing?
I uploaded the fix Lost.Planet.Extreme.Condition.Update.v1.003-HATRED on Rapid.
I tested and it is working fine for me for singleplayer didn´t try it online yet.
Join with HJsplit or in Total Commander.

When you creat the expandLp.bat retype the two ” (in the set SRC line)….The notepad don’t recognize these characters if you only paste the command line posted by Kineas.

Oh well, I did everything recommended. Copied the 8 files into SteamApps, downloaded Unleashed v1.2 copied lostplanet1.ncf, downloaded Lost_Planet_Extreme_Condition_Update_v1.003-HATRED.rar, copied copied lostplanet1.ncf again: the installation finally started, but when it was finnished the msg “server too busy” appeared again, but the data were in the right directory, so i copied the files from Updated_files from Update_v1.003 in the lost planet folder. and now, the .exe just does NOTHING (steam is running).
can someone help me?

I just installed the HATRED version and got it to work!
Here is how:
1. Get the 1.003 update from below, that was posted earlier (thanks so much for these rapidshare links).
Join with HJsplit and open in Winrar.

2. The nexts few steps are simply following the instructions in HATREDS .nfo to install the game. Once Steam is installed, and before you enter the key for Lost Planet, copy the lostplanet1.ncf from the 1.003 patch you just downloaded.
3.Use HATREDS memory patch and the “1111-…” key and click install. You should then see all 7gig of the game install. At the very end you will get the “server busy” error. DO NOT WORRY, the game has completely installed anyway.
4.Now copy all the update files from the HATRED folder from the ISO image directory (all this is detailed in the .nfo). This has to be done, even if you apply a update later! After those files are copied into the Lost Planet directory, copy the update files from the 1.003 update you downloaded. Overwrite all files when prompeted.
5. Run the game in either DX9 or DX10, with Steam running in the background. All going well the game should start properly!
Ive been playing online aswell, after fowarding a few ports required by the game, and have been really enjoying it. Graphics are amazing too. Hope this helps!

yea, 1.004 is now out, probably makin the 1.003 patch not work during install now. So far Unleashed have released it for thier version only. Just have to wait for Hatred to do the same.

How do I install the Hatred version now? I am getting the steam server error with the 1.002 and 1.003 unleash updates copied. Is the 1.004 patch out and working with hatred release? Thanks.

can hatred not make an update only for single player. i just want to play this game for whom i had to wait so long
I see a 1.004 update from hatred. I will try it in a couple of hours. But they really should provide a single player only installation that doesnt let steam block the release from working every few days.

For some reason when I run the memorypatcher.exe it says that steam.exe is not running. I have the serial window open and the client is running, but the patcher doesn’t work. I have also installed the Unleashed 1.2 update, but it still doesn’t work. Does anyone have a solution or has had this problem?

Help! i reinstalled windows xp and now when i try installing hatreds version of lostplanet in get the steam not running error when tring to use the memory patcher, whats going off, it worked before when i first installed it and i did everything exactly how it tells you too.
