Martin: We’ve been all waiting for return of John McClane, and it’s finally here. Bruce Willis returns to action as a cop who’s always at the wrong place in the wrong time – and it’s actually quite amazing performance from him considering his age. The movie is full of deathbreaking action scenes and special effects. On the other hand, director Lie Wiseman tried to use minimum of computer effects so everything looks pretty much real. It’s the beginning of the holiday, but New York City Detective McClane isn’t celebrating. He’s had yet another argument with his college-age daughter Lucy, and received a crushingly routine assignment to bring in a young hacker, Matt Farrell, for questioning by the FBI. But for McClane, the ordinary has a habit of exploding into the extraordinary – abruptly hurtling him into the wrong place at the wrong time.

With Farrell’s help, McClane slowly begins to understand the increasing chaos surrounding him. An attack is underway on the vulnerable United States infrastructure, shutting down the entire nation. The mysterious figure behind the scheme, Thomas Gabriel, stays several moves ahead of McClane as he implements his incredible plans, known to uber-geeks like Farrell as a “fire sale” (as in, everything must go!).

    Liranan, for a world traveler you are, you have some limited view on that world and its inhabitants.

    Let me give you an example. I’m originally from Europe, currently live in New York. As an educated person who tries to understand the complexity of the world he’s living in, I have no hatred towards Muslims, gays, blacks, Australia, China, Microsoft, Apple, Sony, or even terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda, whose bloody politics I unconditionally despise. I realize that American foreign and domestic policies are full of gaps and mistakes, but I also realize that this sentence can be also applied to absolutely every single country I’ve ever set my foot in. Even such ugly concepts like religious zealotry cannot be blamed on particular individuals and nations since their very birth is a direct byproduct of the very complex geopolitical relationships of the world and its deep cultural heritage. And the reason I’m saying all this is that I fail to understand what makes my rather tolerant view so offensive to you that I deserve to die from the hand of a religious extremist? In your desire to generalize and simplify such intricate situations, you fail to understand that there are thousands of people living in every country on the planet who think and act exactly like you do. Even if your wife hates her government, she’s still British whose right to do so is protected by the very same government she despises, and, following your twisted line of thinking, she should die with the rest of the British population because she fits under the dumbed down view of the world you gave us here.

    Oh, and to answer your previous question, the reason why thousands of people leave and come into the United Kingdom is human migration, which is the most natural occurrence in the human history. It happens in every country that doesn’t restrict the rights of its citizens to move, speak and think freely without the fear of being punished by those with different opinions.

    The picture is pretty good for a cam. The audio lacks bass, watching it on my TV the frequency is so poor it won’t activate my subwoofer. Otherwise, it’s fairly watchable.

    Forgot to mention that the picture as expected for a cam is a bit washed out and dark. I found adjusting the setting on my TV to Sports Mode (on Sony TVs) helped a lot by brightening the picture and add some colour to skin tones.

    to clear some dumb misconceptions. WW2 was lost in 41 when Hitler ordered the Wehrmacht to halt it’s advance towards Dunkirk which consequently allowed most of the battle-hardened BEF (British Expeditionary Force) and a few french troops escape. Without that order Britain would not have been in any position to put up the fight it did in the battle for britain. The second major factor in the war’s outcome was the invasion of Russia – and no it wasn’t american aid that helped the Russians, it was the fact that they disasembled all their factories piece by piece and build them up behind the ural mountains. A third factor was Germany’s economy not being prepared for war and it’s over-diversification of military hardware. Whielst the Russians built a few models of tanks and planes and therefore machinery could be standardised the Germans built countless models of tanks, planes and guns which made production an often delayed process.

    America, whielst giving some aid to both Britain and Russia was in no way the decisive factor for VE day. The outcome was decided in the early stages of the war.

    But you’d never know that if alls you knew about history was hollywood movies on WW2.

    Hey americans, there are these wonderful things called books. They’ve been quite popular throughout history, you ought to give them a try. They can only make you sound like less of an idiot. Maybe start with the O’reilly factor for kids.

    I find it funny how every bickers over whos country is the “best”… Lets be honest hear, every country has relied on other countries in their life time. We shouldn’t compare to one another, we should unite and share our differences.

    I’m Scottish and proud, I understand the history that we have had in Canada, America and how we helped develop a lot of things in life. I also understand the great help that the americans gave us during world war 2, i understand the help of the Canadians and many of the hundreds of differe nations that helped us. I respect the Germans/French and many other European countries for their input into secure and stablising the European Union. I understand and know how much the islamic nations have helped developed many things which we still use to this day!

    Don’t pick faults at one another, learn from one another because each nation has a different history, different ways of lifes and different lessons to learn in life, you should welcome them all!
