    as of yet, the pukka r5 has been on isohunt for less than 5 hours, as it stands the rules follow suit for tpb as well.

    There is a sync fix on TPB straight from pukka, however no nfo to prove its pukka.

    Guys, there is NO REASON to downloading this copy….like I said, i used GOM player and KM Player and both played Pukka’s rls fine with no sync issues….DO NOT USE WMP and ALWAYS install the latest K-lite codecs….

    dont install K-lite codecs its crap! and for n00bs, all you need is ffdshow + ac3filter and on occasion use VLC media player when all other media players wont play your file, and if VLC cant bring life to the file all hope is lost!!!!

    Btw will this version of DH4 be insync if there was nothing wrong with the previous one then this must be out of sync? :-)

    Yeah, just go for the fix if you’ve already downloaded the original. Unrar the files in the patch into the same folder as the avis (part a and sample) then run the sync.fix bat file

    Out of sync movies are easy to fix! It takes only 2 min to fix them with VirtualDub! BTW: Some action scenes from this movie are a little exaggerated! It was like watching Rambo 3 al over again!

    i just read both nfo files form pukka and visual….
    pukka’s release claims to have 1438kb/s video bitrate comparing to the 992kb/s from visual.Is this valid.
    For someone who haven’t download any of them, which is a better choice? pukka+fix of visual’s proper…I’m kind of confused because someone mentioned (.40) that visual’s release has even improved video over pukka’s…
    Well i suppose i can download both of the samples and see for myself, but if someone has done that already and could save me from the trouble, it’d be appreciated.

    I downloaded the PUKKA release, and it ran fine on WMP (seemed to be in sync) butg when I burnt in to a dvd with nero vision 4 and started to watch it and it was out on sync!!!!

    Do you think if I run the sync fix and burnt it again it would be in sync?????

    Of would it be a better idea to download the proper release?
    does it work better then the pukka????

    Bob Liu: I dont use K-Lite, dont thrust packages. anyhow, just change your WMP overlay settings to get rid of the B/W picture.

    Movie is ok quality, looks good on my 42″.. :good:

    Oh, and torrents is ok if no other source, but I rather cap my pipe from usenet getting the flick at 5-10min….

    Pukka’s release have no problem.
    Just for the people who use Win media player.
    With other players ( quicktime, Mplayer, vlc, bsplayer ) there is no problem with the sync.

    So dont use wmp, and everything will be fine.

    PS: who is that moron who use wmp instead of the players listed above?
    I cant get it.

    The poster above me is right. Windows Media Player is a slow, cumbersome bloatware. There are plenty of better alternatives around there that can replace it the media player of your choice.

    Just watched the movie… Ouch… The standards have certainly fallen in the past 10-15 years…

    On the other hand, that indestructible teenage-looking supermodel ninja (who’s not even Asian) hacker, who was apparently sent from the future to kill John Connor and kick the living crap out of Willis at the same time sure has a nice figure. I guess that as good reason as any other to justify the movie’s high rating ;)

    is LINE audio… in AC3 format!!! lame… giving this ADYMAN version a try… it’s apperently REAL 5.1 audio from the GERMAN/Russian R5 but! the center channel which is usualy all the talking has been overdubbed with a cleaned up LINE audio feed.

    The best video joiner i found was “easy video joiner”. Then i use “DVD Santa” or “convert x to dvd” to put it on a disc. I have a 56″ HDTV Widescreen tv and play perfectly.

    The best .avi joiner,cutter,encoder etc,is imo VirtualDubMod.It is used by the very popular “AutoGordianKnot” encoding package and it’s a solid program.It’s really easy to use(if you just want to to join 2 files), 3 clicks and you’re good-2-go.
    If you decide to use it, i’ll be glad to post the way to use it.Just let me know.Btw virtualdubmod is open source software so you won’t have to bother with cracks-activation and you’ll always be up to date…..Go get it from SourceForge.net.
    A “must have” tool for all xvid/divx movie enthusiasts :-) .

    To be honest i haven’t use it for this kind of task, but i’m sure you can find more info at the sourceforge forums.
    I was mostly recommending it to mike (post 94) as an easy tool to join avi files….sorry i can’t help you with the mono to 5.1 conversion….
    I know that you can extract the audio as wav and mp3 or add extra audio streams to you file, but not how to do the conversion(or if it is even possible)….As i mentioned before the simple tasks are more or less automatic (no special configuration needed for different files) you just have to choose some basic options…..

    i joined visual-dh4_1.001 thru visual-dh4_1.007 and visual-dh4_1 was created. visual-dh4_2 file was created when i joined visual-dh4_2.001 thru visual-dh4_2.007

    how do i join the visual-dh4_1 and the visual-dh4_2 file??

    I’ve downloaded the ViSUAL version.

    From first impressions it doesn’t look too bad, nor does it sound bad neither.

    When attempting to join the two halves of the movie together using VirtualDub, I was greeted with the VBR error message; even after decompressing the entire audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file using AVIMuxGUI, and recompressing it with a CBR (Using Audacity), then attempting to fix the sync issues using VirtualDub, it didn’t work, and the movie was still out of sync in some places.

    Giving up on that, I’m currently using dvdSanta to join & convert both halves of the original torrent, and we’ll see how that goes.
