The waiting for Willis’s dvdrip return is over: the “final” dvdrip of Live Free Or Die Hard was released by group CRNTV during this night. Don’t start to celebrate yet. This release compressed the 2 hour movie on 1 CD so the quality isn’t exactly spectacular for action movie, but it’s not that bad. Anyway, various pre bots reports nukes for either undersizing or not retail source. The retail comment may be pretty genuine because official DVD date is set to November 20, so this would be a really early dvdrip. Other sceners got active and compared three different releases and it also looks this is just a reencoded R5 rip, so we will have to wait for some proper probably.

Nuked, with a good reason. Pukka’s release (+ sync fix) is the best I think you can get.
tininho: The adywan release is not a scene release, also, it has a manually upsampled audio with channels added “by hand” from various sources. Original source was the same one pukka used.
Shit, I’ve already reencoded this and I was going to upload this to tpb. I realised that this is R5. I’ll wait untill the proper DVD version is being released, so I can reencode this and make my fans happy.

Anon-e-Moose: I’m aware that Adywan’s release isn’t scene-rls. The man has however done a superb job by manually adding the missing channels. The video source is same as pukka’s, but the audio is taken from foreign 5.1CH/AC3 source. Only the center (dialog mainly) channel has been switched to pukka’s line.
So you get superb true surround sound and a little bit less superb center channel. I really recommend to get that one in case you have access to usenet it’s the best you can get at the moment.
Damn, almost got Transformers AND Die Hard 4 within 24 hours. What a weekend that would have been! Still, just Transformers is enough. I can wait another few weeks for DH4.

Yes, as Brian says, there was a Nordic DVDR release 2 days ago. That DVDR was undoubtedly from a retail DVD, I watched the whole thing, menus and all seemed genuine to me. I am fairly positive this rip is from that DVDR.

ya the nordic dvdr is the real deal, even has the ‘do not download pirated films’ annoying ad in the beginning, picture is crystal clear and sound is flawless…

I’m waiting for the uncensored/directors cut. This movie was so horribly hacked up to make the PG13 rating.
PG-13 wtf…. Who makes a Die Hard movie thats PG-13; and whats up with that scene in the alley with willis and the hacker boy. Willis is like ” Theres alot of scared people out there in their homes, scared to death. Put yourself in their shoes. This isnt a game its terrorism. Come on you can do the right thing; come on you can do it” *Then the little shooting star flashes across the scene and bruce willis appears behind a black drop backround and says ” Every boy needs a good father in his life….isnt it about that time. Now get up and go play baseball.” * Star flashes again with quotes ” WE CARE” then…back to the movie. And thats pretty much it. Fuckin commies.
