Lions For Lambs R5 LiNE XViD-HLS
Alright, group HLS is on a roll again with these Russian DVDs and just pre’d an R5 of this very interesting and intriguing movie. I generally prefer dvdrips and therefore wait for em, but I might just get this fine R5 with Line audio to boot while giving this movie a watch. Even though it isn’t all that well received over at iMDb or RT, I still think this will be a decent movie. P.S. - 101st post in this section!! w00t 
Plot: Lions for Lambs consists of three interconnected story lines: Tom Cruise as a congressman who interacts with a journalist (Meryl Streep); Robert Redford as an idealistic professor who attempts to inspire a privileged student in his class; and a third storyline about a pair of American soldiers wounded in enemy territory, one of whom is Redford’s former student.

What is the harm in downloading the file? Delete it if you dont like the movie.
You gotta learn to make decisions in life and not be so wishy-washy on simple issues like whether or not to download this.
I actually liked this movie. IMDB’s message boards are livid about this movie. The conservatives there seem to believe that this movie is just liberal propaganda. I don’t get where they get this from. It never takes one side or the other.
It’s not an amazing film by any stretch, but it is a good film. Tom Cruise is excellent in this, very believable. Robert Redford does a decent job. Sadly, Meryl Streep doesn’t really do much, and therefore doesn’t have a chance to shine.
I think the actual problem with this film was having Cruise in it. By having his name attached to it, the film didnt do as well at the box office as it could have.
His antics offscreen are a liability to movies nowadays.

nobody? i kinda got the impression when the camera zoomed in on certain things that they were supposed to be important to the movie plot but they were in russian in the last version i watched.

Wow, what an utter waste of my time. I only read through the comments to save myself bandwidth if there’s a problem with the movie (ie in Russian, ie missing subs that help a lot, ie out of sync, etc) but 45 posts later, and it took 40 posts to finally get a couple of you to be kind enough to report this one is in Russian. I really wish this site would just utterly change the comment feature to allow posters to only poster specific information pertaining to this movie or release, rather than 20 posts of kids shooting off at each other and the rest on Halo 3 or other movies releases. It’d be a lot more helpful to some of us who try and save ourselves bandwidth and time by finding out if a movie is first of all worth downloading and second of all if that particular release (group, etc) is watchable.

as far as I’ve seen from a quick scan there are ZERO foreign language parts in this movie
except durring some short combat clips, but they are not part of the dialog
Unfortunately, this IS NOT line audio.
Most probably this is cam audio, postprocessed with noise reduction and an exziter (or something like that I suppose).
Audio is hollow, has no volume, empty, like from far away, from past the corner from the other room, damped. Artificial.
Video is pretty good, though.
A compressor filter has been let loose on that cam audio!

Or, if this is line, then the line cable included some weird distortion module. Don’t get me wrong though, the audio is close to being clearly understandable. It just doesn’t sound right. Totally off.

OMG - How awful was this film. I enjoy watching movies and when the movies get boring I usually tough it out. However this movies sucked so badly I had no choice but to turn it off. Where is Tom Cruises career going?
To make this clear once and for all:
- Audio of this release is english
- newspapers etc shown are in english
- audio is clearly understandable, but still
- audio sounds bad (the feel of the audio is off)
- the feel of the audio is so off, that I deleted the file, even though I was (and am) looking forward to seeing this movie.
- Video image is pretty good. I don’t know if it is really a dvdrip or not, though it might be a dvdrip.
maybe my hearing is bad … does noone else notice the weird audio? Sounds so … I don’t know, I am not a native speaker, I lack the appropriate vocabulary to describe the sensation this audio gives me.
Anybody else gets affected similarly by the audio?

I have seen the name HLS on many uploads so what do they benefit by releasing versions with sound recorded in a room from speakers…why dont they just say this whne they release it and not palm it off as a region 5 dvd. If russian dvd’s dont have english audio, then just up it but admit the audio is not taken from the dvd. I dont understand what the caooers have to gain by releasing below par releases and palming it off as a proper dvd version…
R5 is always a russian DVD.
In russia they dub the movies, so the release groups who get those r5 dvds have to find audio, usaly it is Line audio, recored from a cinema booth etc.
They do that cause they want to bring us a better quality Pic video than a TS and a bit better audio than a TS.
They dont say this is the “Retail” DVDrip comming from a “Retail” DVD.
So stop complaining about thew audio etc and that the movie has no subs etc.
Some r5 DVDs come with the English audio channel on them too and subs, those we can say are the good ones and lucky to have, or else we are left with the ones like this.
Btw this movie sucks just a bit, watch it and then bin it, you wont miss it
