Linkin Park – What I’ve Done (2007)
Wow, that was quite a surprise for me, new son from Linkin Park! I thought it’s just another fake release from yesterday, but this is pretty much real thing. It’s just one song but still, many people including me like this band and are happy to listen every track from them. The interesting thing about What I’ve Done single is that it’s quite different from their music style. More to come on 15th May when Linkin Park releases new album Minutes to Midnight…
In an interview with MTV, Chester Bennington said that the song would be different from previous Linkin Park songs: “The drums are much more raw, the guitars are more raw and the vocals aren’t tripled. It’s just us out there … and that’s how Rick [Rubin, album producer] wanted it.” Bennington also revealed the first line of the song: ‘In this farewell, there is no blood, there is no alibi’.

Lp has Totally Re-invented Themselves, they sound different all rit different in a positive way, they sound space rockish like Coldplay with Distortions.. Awesome, the video is even sensational. “M Buying this Album. Chester’s solo was Awesome. No-rappin that did n’t bother me, Mike played the keyboards & other instruments as well as the back up Vcals. “m seriously impressed. Expecting them to Win a lot of Awards, they’ve finally proven themselves… to be even better to those who previously didn’t like Lp !
Look Screaming , Rapping, Guitar dimensions & guitar solos.. they all depend on the Theme of the Song.. I Think whatever they’ve done with this theme is Perfect. Besides they’ve reached global status, so each of their singles now mean a lot to the world.Its definitely not something that you just come up in 10 days.. It takes perseverance, too much imagination & hard work, for the famous critics in this page i must say u talentless folks are born with a very talented Mouth !

I completely agree that linkin parks new sound/music style really rocks! i dont think i can say its better than Hybrid Theory and Meteora (they will always be classics) but i do love the new style and musical differences for the album… so far ive heard the songs:

my favourite songs are definately 2 Worlds and Collapsing the Unit… really diff sounds compared to their old stuff but really great.
not sure if these songs are all the ones on the minutes to midnight album or even if some are just unreleased ones i never heard, but theyre what i found when i searched Limewire for Minutes to Midnight…
I love how Linkin Park have become so much more dynamic. Not that their old stuff isnt great, it’s gold, but its great they have been able to show so much variety in such awesome new songs. well worth the wait, even 4 freakin years!

oh and for those who hate downloaders, just so you dont think im a linkin park killer – altho i downloaded their songs illegally (i.e. not paying for them) i’ll sure be buying 3 of the album when it comes out (one for me and 2 for friends) coz its gonna be awesome and any money that goes to linkin park touring and putting out more awesome music is well worth spending!
uh … all those tracklists and MP3’s are fake. the only song that has been released from the album is “what i’ve done”; the AOL performance (which will be released in early may) will have 2 more songs from “minutes to midnight”. that’s it. “collapsing the unit”, “2 worlds” and whatnot … that’s all fake. ;| and any supposed lyrics – again, save for “what i’ve done” – for any of the songs (people have mistaken the lyrics for “starting to fly” for the MTM track “bleed it out”, so, yeah) are likewise fake.
