Yup im using frostwire aswell, but i’m still getting songs in my search list that are like 333kb or something and are porn related?:S Is there a solution for that or do i just have to set my filters to 1MB and above?

Limewire is like a worm, spamming off other duplicate programs just like it which don’t make any breakthroughs & it’s nothing like what bearshare was several years ago.
If you want real p2p software get ApexDC++. It is the absolute best. not many people really know about it but last weekend I managed to download 30 gigs of albums in only 2 days. It’s tough to learn to use but gets easier, perseverance prevails.

Don’t like Frostwire because you can’t drag songs from into my ipod. After I download them I have to manually search for them. It’s a hassle.
I haven’t used this for a couple of years, there are far better ways of getting music such as bittorrent, rapidshare/megaupload etc, even google hacking

My friend is currently serving a 3 month prison sentence as he got caught downloading stuff from limewire and he ended up with 3months in prison and a £1300 fine as he had downloaded a lot of stuff! also in the process of downloading stuff in the 6 months he used this software he got 8 viruses altogether 5 of which needed a full format to get rid of them.

I know loads use this to just grab single songs.. well theres other ways of doing this!! you could either download the whole album, or you could download the torrent for the whole album and only download the single song you want from that torrent, there are a lot of rapidshare link sites out there with loads of singles on there, or you could use WINMX its like limewire but more secure although its still more risky than RS and torrent

As long as you have the latest blocklist, along with some common sense, you really shouldn’t be getting any sort of viruses from this. Since you are here and reading this you should be too smart to use this garbage. This app is for people who know nothing about PC’s but think they do. When discussing computers with someone if they were to mention that they use this type of software to obtain copyrighted material I would just chalk them up as noobs.
And to all the virus comments, Use linux fools as there are no viruses and it is a better OS. The main problems with Linux are related to lack of support from hardware makers due to MS monopoly bullying. Also linux does not and will not support any DRM or hidden spy on you features like VISTA & MAC do, so you had better use your brain and switch.
And finally yes this is a pathetic app to post for everyone here. I hope you all have the sense to use a bit torrent client instead. I would recomend Utorrent or Azureus as they are both fantastic software and free as well. For a start, Frostwire IS Limewire okay? It is a free version of limewire pro which kind of negates the need for a scene release of it but there you go.. For you nancy boy whiners, yeah frostwire is free but do you really care considering your on rlslog and half your software is pirated..
Limewire is great at what it does. That being pulling one off tracks out of thin air. Get a group of friends round, drinks flowing, song requests flooding in.. Limewire is the ONLY tool to use for these sort of situations as you can VERY QUICKLY get individual tracks. Much faster and more efficient than using torrents.
Limewire is useless for downloading vids/software, no one denies that but seriously.. If your getting virii/trojans/spyware from using it then.. YOUR A TOTAL N00B. Anyway if your searching for tunes, your only pulling back audio formats so no chance of maliciousness.
Finally, one of the mods said they would not use it, that they would only use torrents ’cause they are safer… LMAO, and your a mod here? Limewire is no riskier than any other p2p app. In fact, you can be a total leecher on limewire and not suffer any consequences, sharing copyrighted material is more serious than just downloading it and torrents require you to upload (while prominently displaying your IP). Very safe..
