Zwt brings us another fine releases. Lime Wire is the Fastest P2P File Sharing Program on the Planet Lime Wire allows you to search for multiple files at the same time, available in several different languages, and is most famous for its ease-of-use and cross-platform compatibility.       Yup im using frostwire aswell, but i’m still getting songs in my search list that are like 333kb or something and are porn related?:S Is there a solution for that or do i just have to set my filters to 1MB and above?

      No spam and it only takes 8 secounds to find and download a song.
      where as noobs who download songs on torrents spend ages finding the song then like 10 minutes downloadin it and crying about seeds

      If I want to download single songs, I still find Limewire type of programs useful (I personally prefer Bearshare). For anything else I just stick to torrents, usenet, RS, etc. Reading the comments, it seems you guys think Limewire should be avoided. What would you suggest I’d use for just single songs?

      Don’t like this.Yeah you have to be dumb to get a virus ,but you sure got more chances using limewire.I use strong dc for 1 song downloads.I’ve got very good speeds with it from national hubs.

      Limewire is like a worm, spamming off other duplicate programs just like it which don’t make any breakthroughs & it’s nothing like what bearshare was several years ago.

      If you want real p2p software get ApexDC++. It is the absolute best. not many people really know about it but last weekend I managed to download 30 gigs of albums in only 2 days. It’s tough to learn to use but gets easier, perseverance prevails.

      To all you Limewire “haters”, the reason I use limewire is to get songs that I can’t find on usenet. Its easy to find just one song on Limewire and really seems to be the best way.

      DO NOT!! Use Limewire to download ANY illegal content!!

      My friend is currently serving a 3 month prison sentence as he got caught downloading stuff from limewire and he ended up with 3months in prison and a £1300 fine as he had downloaded a lot of stuff! also in the process of downloading stuff in the 6 months he used this software he got 8 viruses altogether 5 of which needed a full format to get rid of them.

      SO if you want to risk being caught or quite like the idea of getting viruses then go ahead and download from limewire but if you do please say hi to my mate for me :)

      I know loads use this to just grab single songs.. well theres other ways of doing this!! you could either download the whole album, or you could download the torrent for the whole album and only download the single song you want from that torrent, there are a lot of rapidshare link sites out there with loads of singles on there, or you could use WINMX its like limewire but more secure although its still more risky than RS and torrent

      Although I use Limewire to grab the odd song here and there I am certainly not using it anymore after reading the above posts. I normally find that Rapidshare has more chance of finding the obscure house tracks that I search for, where as Limewire hasnt. Ill give that Frostwure ago though

      Seriously, try to calm down on the flaming just a *bit*? Limewire actually is a safe app, provided you want small, single files. As long as you have the latest blocklist, along with some common sense, you really shouldn’t be getting any sort of viruses from this. If you do happen to get a virus, well, that’d be your standard PEBKAC, wouldn’t it?

      Since you are here and reading this you should be too smart to use this garbage. This app is for people who know nothing about PC’s but think they do. When discussing computers with someone if they were to mention that they use this type of software to obtain copyrighted material I would just chalk them up as noobs.

      And to all the virus comments, Use linux fools as there are no viruses and it is a better OS. The main problems with Linux are related to lack of support from hardware makers due to MS monopoly bullying. Also linux does not and will not support any DRM or hidden spy on you features like VISTA & MAC do, so you had better use your brain and switch.

      And finally yes this is a pathetic app to post for everyone here. I hope you all have the sense to use a bit torrent client instead. I would recomend Utorrent or Azureus as they are both fantastic software and free as well. Be sure to use protection as well such as Peerguardian ( ipblock or moblock for us linux folk ) since even though there are no guarantees it will stop some monitoring attempts ( about 4 years ago mine actually blocked a CIA address which I tracked back and it was a real CIA server so I was pretty impressed with that & it let me know they are watching us and not just via mediasentry )

      Frostwire is a much better alternative to limewire…. Moreover frostwire is free, it has the same interface as that of limewire and uses the same network and to top it all off, frostwire is totally free…..

      For a start, Frostwire IS Limewire okay? It is a free version of limewire pro which kind of negates the need for a scene release of it but there you go.. For you nancy boy whiners, yeah frostwire is free but do you really care considering your on rlslog and half your software is pirated..

      Limewire is great at what it does. That being pulling one off tracks out of thin air. Get a group of friends round, drinks flowing, song requests flooding in.. Limewire is the ONLY tool to use for these sort of situations as you can VERY QUICKLY get individual tracks. Much faster and more efficient than using torrents.

      Limewire is useless for downloading vids/software, no one denies that but seriously.. If your getting virii/trojans/spyware from using it then.. YOUR A TOTAL N00B. Anyway if your searching for tunes, your only pulling back audio formats so no chance of maliciousness.

      Finally, one of the mods said they would not use it, that they would only use torrents ’cause they are safer… LMAO, and your a mod here? Limewire is no riskier than any other p2p app. In fact, you can be a total leecher on limewire and not suffer any consequences, sharing copyrighted material is more serious than just downloading it and torrents require you to upload (while prominently displaying your IP). Very safe..
