The unofficial end of writers strike will result in many new episodes of your favourite shows returning to TVs soon, but there are already some completely new shows which started tonight. Lily Allen and Friends is one of them – a talk show hosted by popular singer and song-writer, who starter her career just 2 years ago with debut album “Alright, Still”. The show is broadcasted on BBC.
The star hosts her own chat show based on the online social-networking phenomenon that helped launch her career. Viewers are invited to become Lily’s virtual friends, contributing to discussions and putting questions to guests, including in this programme Cuba Gooding Jr and David Mitchell. Featuring music by chart-topping bands such as Reverend and the Makers and the lesser-known act, Youtube favourite Tay Zonday.

It can’t be THAT bad.
I read about this being ridiculous – that a large percentage of the audience walked out as they were bored and embarassed for her, for how bad she was. She was unfocused and just started talking about her own woes instead of interviewing. I’ll eagerly await reviews from posters.

Totally agree with you about the fat, stupid Americans. Here in France, we have both excellent teeth and slim women.
But none of that changes the fact that British teeth are in horrible shape.
The people behind Lily Allen’s new BBC3 show ‘Lily Allen And Friends’ are inviting fans along to watch the recordings.
The programme, which airs on February 12, needs audience members who want to get involved in the programme.
To attend, fans have to fill out a questionnaire from Princesstv.com ( http://www.princesstv.com/ ) to register for the chance to be an audience member.
The next shoot is on February 15 at Pinewood Studios, Slough.

where does the ‘british people have bad teeth’ thing come from, i am not going to get uptight about it, but was the stereotype based on anything (anyone?) in particular? if you look at the picture of lilly allen at the top, she has nice teeth.

FYI-There’s no such word as broadcasted. The correct term is broadcast.
French women are “natural woman”s. That means they does not shave they armpits, legs or their hoochies. Makes me sick, most of the french women have moustaches and the men, well, simply put, are ghey. Also, The French are always afraid to go to war.

Nothing to get uptight about. It is general knowledge about the poor state of British dental care. My question is why does this sad state exist?

One of the two main reasons for poor British teeth has been the Great Dental Floss Disaster of 1978. This tragedy occurred in Slough in 1978 and caused country wide shortages of dental floss. While suffering through these shortages, various substitutes for floss were tried, including shoe laces. The abrasive nature of the shoe laces brought devastation to millions of British mouths.
The other major factor contributing to poor British teeth has been the abundance of cobblestone roads in the cities. These roads are uneven and difficult to walk on, and due to the ever increasing consumption of alcholic beverages all over the UK, many British citizens found themselves falling face first into these cobblestone roads. The result was dental destruction everywhere.
Recent advances in asphalt pavement have alleviated the largest trouble spots, but small areas of damage continue to occur.

I’ll stay out of the whole argument thing, but I was just thrown off by the fact that it’s released by a wrestling group… odd.
I think dental care is outside the NHS, so they have to pay extra for dental. I’ve also never noticed them having bad teeth–at least uni students.
i am a student and would have to pay for NHS dental care (which is a joke, i am skint), so it makes sense for me to go private for dental care because it ends up being about the same price.

There are many people who have eaten British beef and have not gotten Mad Cow disease. It may happen once in a while, but not always. British people do not have a lot of experience with cows, so this is to be expected.

Watched this and its crap. Eg It contains “funny” videos off the internet. Oh and you get to see a video diary of Lilly driving about in a BMW buying shoes. Not really what I pay a licence fee for and rather embarassing to have paraded in front of an international audience. PLEASE don’t bother downloading.
