Leverage S01E01 PREAiR DVDSCR XviD-MEDiEVAL

MEDiEVAL has released another DVD screener, upcoming new TNT show Leverage. The series follows a team of thieves, hackers and grifters who act as modern-day Robin Hoods, taking revenge against those who use power and wealth to victimize others. Skipping through I does seem to be almost like the ‘American version’ of the British show Hustle, it has very much the same feel to it with both the characters and the music. I did also notice there is a British actress in this show, Gina Bellman who starred as Jane in the UK TV show Coupling.

Show Summary
Timothy Hutton plays former insurance investigator Nate Ford, a once-loyal corporate employee who had recovered millions of dollars in stolen goods for his employer. But when that employer denied his son’s insurance claims and allowed the boy to die, he realized he could no longer work for such an entity.

Out of work and descending into alcoholism, Ford is hired by an aeronautics executive to recover airplane designs the executive claims were stolen by a rival company. Helping him are four highly skilled team members: Parker (Beth Riesgraf, Alvin and the Chipmunks), an expert thief; Alex Hardison (Aldis Hodge, “Friday Night Lights”), a specialist in Internet and computer fraud; Eliot Spencer (Christian Kane, “Into the West”), a high-octane “retrieval specialist” who can take out a gang of henchmen without breaking a sweat; and Sophie Devereaux (Gina Bellman, “Coupling”), a grifter who could win awards for her acting skills during difficult scams. At first the newly formed team is hesitant to trust each other after so many years working alone but being double-crossed changes the dynamic, ultimately forcing them to unite. They emerge from the job realizing they are far better working together than apart. Once they discover they can trust each other the group targets their cons toward the richest, the greediest and the most unjust.

    I haven’t seen “Hustle”, but from all reports this is either very similar or a direct rip-off. Regardless, I enjoyed it. Good story line and the acting was solid by all the cast, especially Gena Bellman and Timothy Hutton.

    Finally.

    Out of all of the recent preairs, this is the first one that I’m actually excited about. All of the rest were ‘yawn, pass’, but this one sounds like it might actually be good (fingers crossed):)

    Generic idea done a hundred times (ever heard of “It Takes a Thief”? Or the hundred knock offs and variants done before most of the people in this show were even born?) plus a British actress (Brits never show up in American productions! Oh, wait…) means it’s based, or has anything whatsoever to do with, a show that might be kinda, sorta, but not really similar?

    Yeah, that makes sense.

    Hustle was a corny cheap imitation of Oceans 11, Leverage is nothing like ether, America is the Big Leagues with big money pay days for actors, big money for production/direction, big money for writing,the only good “real” ripoff from you toothless limeys is The Office,mean while all your networks shows are syndicated American shows like Lost or cheap American rip offs.Not that you toothless limeys dont have talent its just that if you do your already over here. basically America equals your soccers “Premier League” and UK equals soccers “Major League Soccer”.

    its idiots like 30 that make americans like me ashame. its also embarrassing to know that most of the world think we are all stupid ignorant idiots who spew evil worthless garbage from the whole in their face.

    anyhow this was very good and hopefully will get a lot of attention cause i for one am sick of some these reality tv shows. some decent shows on will finally get me watching the tv again.
