Lenny Kravitz – Let Love Rule (20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) 2CD 2009-404

Deluxe 2CD & Digital Collection Features Remastered Original Album, Plus
Extensive Rarities, Including Previously Unreleased Tracks & Live Recordings

One of the preeminent rock musicians of our time, Lenny Kravitz has transcended genre, style, race and class to ascertain a 20-year musical career that revels in the rich influences of ’60s and ’70s soul, rock and funk. To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of his incendiary, critically acclaimed 1989 debut, Let Love Rule, Kravitz and Virgin/EMI have collaborated to create an expanded 2CD and digital reissue to be released April 21 (April 20 internationally). Let Love Rule (20th Anniversary Edition) features the newly remastered original album, plus 18 bonus tracks, including 13 previously unreleased demos, rare B-sides, and live recordings.

20 years ago, Lenny Kravitz wrote, recorded and produced his iconic debut album, Let Love Rule, striking a chord around the world and propelling him to international stardom. The title song’s signature line, “It’s time to take a stand, Brothers and Sisters join hands” is a theme Kravitz feels is still relevant to this day, and he is harnessing this message of hope, taking it on tour with him throughoutEurope.

If you don't like it why come here to say so? Save your energy for doing positive things. LK has 5 Best Male Rock Vocal Performance Grammy awards in successive years 1999-2002. How many have you won? Yeah, that's what I thought. Dude has sold more than 22 million records. How many have you sold? Yeah, that's what I thought…don't be hopeless.

Lenny Kravitz is horrible? Then we should steer ourselves towards hip hop, death metal, top 40 pop, or anything else that is brand new and "hip"? I'll admit that he is no music genius, but IMO his music is better than 95% of the crap that is posted on this site.

This is a classic debut album, and one that I shall look forward to listening to in a remastered form.

Sure, Lenny's influence draws heavily from soul artists such as Stevie Wonder and Curtis Mayfield, as well as rock greats including Zeppelin and Hendrix…but man, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that – if you're going to borrow other musicians' music, you may as well go for the best around!

This guy was ok until he dissed Hendrix in an MTV interview. He went for decent musician to no talent hack in a matter of seconds. If you think this guy has talent and you like his music then by all means download this crap along with Milli Vanilli greatest hits.
