I honestly do not get this mandatory Online play thing, with less than 25% of the planet even online, My opinion is that Online Gaming is a poor cop out to creating a good single/Coop story line. why develop a good story when you can just MMORPG the game and dumb it down to the number of Frags one can score…
I am not condemning the Multiplayer, I just beleive that there is room in the Time and Budget of these Single Player Only and Online only games to be both Online Multiplayer and Offline Single Player.
if I am to pay $110(au) then I want the most bang for my buck.

Yeah..got it working from 1st try,but crashed after 20 minutes…anyway worth a try and when the proper crack gets out it will be OK.
All i did was i set all .exe files in install directory(launcher,left4dead2,revloader)compatibility mode for XP sp 2,then start the loader,click OK on the error message and alt+tab back in game(wait for the alt+tab,it took me about 1 min or so..),but still crash AWW.

None of these damn cracks work. Win XP service pack 2, crashes back to desktop after the video (whether you let it play or try to skip it)

#115 The .exe causes the computer to blue screen immediately, and then causes the computer to continually blue screen on startup. The client.dll just causes the game to crash after the intro movie.

use :

1.Download the crack:
2.Extract the 2 Rar’s Inside the Crack Final.rar
3.Decompress Crack A.7z in left 4 dead 2 folder(installation directory).
4.Decompress CRACK B into the left 4 dead 2 folder(installation directory).
Overwrite all the files.
5.Edit the rev.ini file to change language from russian to english.
6.If while loading a level it stucks at 80%,change your system date to 29th November,2009.(Really it works).
7.Launch the game using revloader.

Now there is no need to press Alt+Tab or click on any error.
U can directly go to Main menu.
Use the console(~ key) to start a campaign :map c1m1_hotel (First campaign, first level) and henceforth levels.

Works 100%.
No crashes.
Tested on XpSP3 and Win7.
