Lee Mack Live 2008 STV DVDRiP XviD-SLi

A not really well-known group SLi released a dvdrip of STV title Lee Mack Live. I guess you are more familiar with us stand up comedians as Jay Leno or David Letterman, but Lee Mack is quite popular in the Great Britain and this 60 minute footage will give you many good laughs for sure. Nice video quality and standard mp3 sound.

Funnyman Lee Mack captured in a side-splitting live performance! Becoming an ever growing comedy face on TV, Lee won a BAFTA for his contribution to The Sketch Show and has also been the host of They Think It’s All Over. Recorded live at the Bloomsbury Theatre, Lee’s relentless determination to have fun is marvellously infectious and leaves his audience exhausted by laughter. His energy, finely crafted one-liners and quick ad-libs create an elusive star quality as shown by his Spring 2006 total sell out national tour.

This guy is proper genious, though this dvd is old, was actually out at xmas, but no one released it online. Been waiting so long for this!

He’s quite a lot like Peter Kaye with taking the pi$$ out of the UK’s simple catchphrases and characteristics but can be even funnier as he isn’t a millionaire like Kaye, so he’s more real and down to earth and doesn’t need to have a stupid accent to make his jokes funny.

If you want stand-up get Peter Kay, Jack Dee or Jimmy Carr instead. Lee Mack isn’t bad but the 3 I mentioned are much better.
I can’t recommend any American stand-ups because I don’t know any, except Chris Rock and I didn’t get alot of the references because I’m British.

Leno and Letterman aren’t stand up, they are hacks with horrible writers.
Billy Connolly is definitely the funniest man from Britain.

Lol @ Martin - geez man - since when Jay Leno & Letterman became comedians and even more stand up as well? Perhaps u r becoming one too and u dont know it m8. They re both tv talk-show hosts and lol they do not ,i repeat , they do not stand up lol… they do their shows sitting down and the whatever jokes they make some1 else is writing for them.

Come on kids! Letterman and (especially) Leno are foremost stand-up comedians. Probably not so well known to us outside US, but at least Leno still performs regularly

Leno and lettermen arn’t stand up comedians, to be honest i havnt seen them do stand up but ive seen there late night shows and both suck nuts.. Eddie murphys delierous and raw are the best stand up live acts period.. Joe Rogans latest one (from 2007) is rather funny, but he has a pretty vulgar taste in humor (which is right up my alley). I live in new zealand so we see both british and american comedys, the british sense of humor is far better than the american, fart jokes and swearing can only get you so far..

Thanks Martin as an expat brit I don’t see too much british tv.I love Peter Kay and Jimmy Carr and I think Lee Mack is just as good as them. My kind of humour, great audience interaction.

Jay Leno and David Letterman???? Stand up???? Didnt even know they ever did that, did anyone ever laugh?
I live in ‘Great Britain’ and have never heard of this guy.
Have people only heard of him in Britain, not anywhere else in the UK…?

Honestly guys if you don’t like Lee Mack, don’t download his video. No need to harass people for providing the links. OK so Martin used Letterman and Leno as examples of stand-up comedians… get over it!

Yes, Peter Kay, Jack Dee and Jimmy Carr are better, and no one suggested that Billy Connolly isn’t funny… but I’ve already seen their stuff and I’d rather see more than just the same 4 comedians. Honestly those comments make as much sense as posting comments on every movie thread to say “No, watch Raging Bull instead!”

And WandL, honestly do you really care that he said Great Britain instead of United Kingdom? It’s a perfectly valid term. If you live in Northern Ireland maybe he upset you but if you live in England, Scotland or Wales then you do live in Britain or Great Britain even if you’d prefer to call it the UK or something else. And BTW: You are not the entire population of the United Kingdom or Great Britain. The fact that you’ve never heard of him does not mean he’s not popular here. It just means you have never heard of him.

I’m not a big fan of Lee Mack - though I don’t think he’s as bad as some of you seem to - but I have at least heard of him, and I’m smart enough to realise that my opinions are not those of the whole population of my country. Martin said he is “quite popular”, not “well known and loved by every man woman and child”…

I know I’m complaining too, but of 33 comments only 3 have bothered to thank Martin for his effort. So I’ll make that 4: Thanks Martin. Thanks to KSJ, Xerox and YahooEU for making useful posts. And thanks to everyone else for wasting space on the page.

If you don’t know this guy and you download ANY of his work..put the kids and granny to bed first…he is blue’r than blue..Hence he is known as the “Fat Bas****” and the fans sing it when he walks on stage..
