I cant say that I watch law and order but I can guess as to why I think it sucks just based on the characteristics of the people I meet who say they do watch the show. First Law and order is one of those shows that massages the ego of those that watch it. Because the lawyer profession is one of the elite fields of study that promises cash and respect, people watching it feel smart. Which is pathetic as the show fails to address, from what I interpret from the myriad of un-socially-conscious buffoons that profess their love of the show, the racist and classist problems that have plagued the American justice system from it’s inception. Namely the close to 1,000,000 million poor blacks/minorities in jail not of guilt but because they cannot afford proper legal representation. But this is just what I interpret from the multitude of mislead conservatives I come into contact with on a daily basis.
