Last Train To Freo 2006 DVDRip XviD-aAF

4062ss1.jpgPolish guys from group aAF released another new dvdrip – and again of a certainly unknown movie “Last Train to Freo”. This is a work of Australian production with no big names, but quite a good storyline. Recommended for all thriller collectors, others can decide on their own. Quality is fine.

At midnight, on a hot summers night two ex-cons catch the last train to Fremantle. Bored, restless, and looking for trouble, they start to poke fun at their mind numbing existence. Until a beautiful young law student steps into the carriage, alone, and seemingly unaware that the guards are on strike. Intrigued by her bravado, the men use their off beat charm to compete for her attention. But there’s more to this young woman than meets the eye. And when two other passengers join the train further down the line, the balance of power takes an unexpected twist.

    I watched that last night.
It turns out it’s a screen adaptation of a stage play, and sadly it shows.

Single stage (the coach of the train). Five actors taking their turn, endless dialogues, conventional plot twists.

The step between the play and the screenplay hasn’t been quite successful in that regard. This said, and once you realized you’re in fact not at the movies but at the theater, the story is rather enjoyable, and the dialogues and actors are brillant.

So if you’re looking for action, guns, spilled blood all over the place, don’t get this, on the other hand, I guarantee a you’ll spend a good time watching the plot unfold and the amazing performances of Steve LeMarquand (the lead actor) and the secondary roles, which are given a very substantial place.

I loved this movie. Gigi Edgley is a real doll and her performance in “Last Train to Freo” is superb. Steve Le Marquand in the lead male role is very convincing. All the actors work together to make this movie about as close to a work of art as I have seen lately.

As noted by another comment, it is not another bloody shoot ‘em up but has plenty of character depth. For comparison, think about the movie “Bus Stop.”
