Our Birthday Competition is slowly comming to the end! You have last 24 hours to submit your work, because the whole thing ends tomorrow at 8 PM. We have 250+ entries so far, so it will be a really tough choice. The quality has increased a lot in last day or two as well. Here are last samples before tomorrow’s big announcement of final winners and giving away the prizes. Please note some of the works below have been resized to fit in the post, the original quality may look better.

    best bit is all of these were most probably made on pirated software.

    number 2 has the right idea. the execution isn’t that great though – and no i couln’t do better or anything even close to that.

    an ascii ansi theme would be great…nfo style. cyberpunk ftw.

    the second one is too much to read, and the second one looks like it was done by a 10 year old, all the others are amazing though, and @5, you are a total fake, nobody download the script, full of trojans.

    and @25, you can sing a song and record it and post it you know, read the competition rules.

    Number 3 has a lot of work in it.
    Number 5 is just a stupid floral brush.
    I like 4 too, simple 3D, but the glowing effect is decent
    Number 2 sucks donkey balls

    number 4, definately. Modern, funky.
    Number 5 is cool, but fairly basic… seems a little… errr… ‘flowery’ with all the paisley for all you Masculine testosterone filled blokes…
    2 is funny, but too busy…
    3 is a great concept, but just doesn’t look right… Maybe its the shapes of the letters?

    But well done to everyone, i wish i had time/effort/skill to do something myself :)

    Dear staff stop from hotlinking images from http://media.movieweb.com as you site uses too much of their bandwidth.

    Please host images from your own server and stop being too stingy. Its not like you cant afford with the number visits you have to your site.

    #2 made me laugh, the whole color scheme and design aesthetic is a real throwback to the 80’s. Fun, but too busy.

    Love 4 and 6. 4 is just a little too dark for the G to pop out. Gotta settle with 4 anyway. EXCELLENT! The other 248 better have some omph!!!!

    One thing about #1 is that the letters need to have highter quality, it’s a little blurry. Higher Texture count.

    the 1st one is nice but what i dont like about it is how the “e” connects to the a in one place but in other places the lower parts dont, so for me it’s a good idea but kinda unfinished could be worked out better. The background is simple but nice.

    Nr. 4 is also nice. I like the background. The smaller font witch propaply says http://www.rlslog.net is almost unreadable, and thats not a good thing to have on a banner.

    Nr. 5 is the one i like the most. Still the main letters seem to be tilting to right and it bugs me a little when looking at it. would be way more nice if they would be straight… i think.

    Hope no one gets offended but rather looks at this as possitive critizism.

    First – too simple, too dark.
    Second – You are life is going to change buddy? Does look decent.
    Third – Doesn’t look decent.
    Fourth – as @104 it must be pretty easy to make something like that in some 3D app, text, ’something’ underneath it, inner part of ‘o’ highlighted and an source of light. But i must admit, outcome looks good.
    Fifth – too simple, background is dull, it’s just like number 1, with other background, font and some stroke set on soft light.
    Sixth – Looks like some tutorial work
