Highly-rated comedy/drama “Lars And The Real Girl“, previously available on a superb DVDSCR by mVs finally made its way in DVDRip quality, thanks to group SATIVA. The story is original, the acting is top notch, and even the critics liked it… video quality is good but audio is slightly lacking with just 127k bitrate of MP3 sound.

Synopsis: As the title character, Ryan Gosling is a strange but likeable young man who manages to keep down a job but keeps mostly to himself. He only leaves the garage where he lives when his older brother Gus (Paul Schneider) and loving sister-in-law Karin (Emily Mortimer) drag him to their house next door for dinner. Lars doesn’t take well to questioning, so the disturbing level of his isolation is never openly discussed. It’s only when he announces he has a girlfriend in the form of an anatomically correct doll he purchased via the internet that everyone must admit his precarious mental state.

    I’ve got one technical thing to say. Trailer at IMDB has a way better quality than the one from youtube. Why almost every trailer is from YT? I mean, if a movie is any kind of low budget, it’s ok then ’cause IMDB probably won’t have any video preview, but otherwise I would deal with IMDB.

    This movie is fantastical! Watched it once by myself, showed it to my family a few weeks later, it was a bit weird initially, then got funny, then got really funny and finally we were just talking and talking about it at the end. SPOILER ALERT STOP READING NOW As the movie started playing over, we noticed that whenever Lars is feeling alone, and generally missing his mom, he always has her blanket! he’s very very protective of it. You really need to watch it twice to pick up on all these consistencies that the director inserted. Great movie, good laughs especially the 2nd time around! I could watch it again and again.

    just becuase the bitrate is 127 doesnt mean its “lacking” if it is VBR.notice their was no “action scenes” or “loud noises” the mp3 encoder uses what it needs & in this cases it didn’t need it..

    This movie is a real classic on it’s own. Never really noticed Ryan as an actor in his other movies, but he is doing extremely well in this one - and so do the other actors.
    Don’t want to spoil too much, but the scene in which his brother in law talks to his wife about he’s guilty of it all is just awesome.

    A true gem besides all the trash getting released nowadays.

    i’ve seen similar reports lately, not with the areg files but others, and each time the problem was fixed by getting a newer version of WinRAR, it seems there was some changes in the newer versions compression routines that the older version sometimes had trouble unpacking.

    i dont have the absolute latest version, but i have never had any issues with the areg files

    I enjoyed it as the funny scenes were not forced in any way, they flowed naturally and seems like they really could happen. Ryan Gosling played his character so well. You just want to hug the guy. Aaaw.
    This is funnier than say, Meet the Spartans.

    I believe they could have made it a touch “naughtier” though as teens these days see so much smut in stuff like American Pie, and if you are going to have a sex doll as the main focal point in a movie, then it should have been raunchier.

    The ending was very moving. Felt more for his love doll than I did for Sally Field in “Two Weeks”.
