LA Ink is a show we havent’t covered regularly here on rlslog, but one I think is pretty fun to watch. Sure it follows the same formula every week but some of the tattoos they create on the show are pretty amazing. Quality of this rls is nice as usual, only thing is that the video image seems to be a bit desaturated, but maybe thats just me, plus you get used to it really fast.
New Beginnings: The crew looks to make a fresh start. Pixie undergoes laser tattoo removal to make room for a very important tattoo. Kat hires her sister to be her personal assistant and plans a surprise with the help of comedian Tom Green.

This show was pretty cool.
Contrary to what the post says, the show was covered before, though not regularly. (I remember some nice sample pic).
This pic isn’t nice at all though, but that’s personal preference. Her face is cute, but when you look down :S.

also when i spoke to ppl that had a tattoo made by either the miami division or the la group…they are NOT SPECIAL at all.

Kat, pixie and kim… MMmMMMMMmMmmm, as a tattoo artist myself i love this show more than the others (miami, london, inked) because they put a back story behind the people getting their ink and not just some sh***y half a**ed reality point the cameras at the shop and film c**P.
plus cory miller (someone i consider a mentor) is a kick ass freehand artist and it blows my mind some of the stuff he comes up with.
the main reason i watch… the three names at the top, i wont lie, theres something about sexy chicks covered in tattoos that gets me every time and the fact that they are tattoo artists themselves just hits it ten fold.
tattoos are not for everybody (you really do have to have a thing for pain,) and some do mean ALOT to the person getting it im about 40% covered and most of my work is there because it is pleasing to look at not because it means anything.
I have to be an a** 7 sounds like a nerd to scared to get inked and knowing that they will never be “cool” because of it, yeah i said it, ITS COOL TO BE COVERED!

Well, if nasty = cool, then you get no argument from me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for people getting tatoos. It makes identifying and avoiding rapists, murders, drug addicts and other societal low life SO MUCH EASIER!
fair enough but… as far as stereotypes go, i have a shaved head (not a nazi) im covered in piercings and tattoos, never been arrested (dont even have a criminal record) never done drugs, have a fantastic girlfriend (also coverd in ink) and own my own business (tattoo studio/art gallery) i have been an artist all my life (im 28) and so far have never come across someone with tattoos who fit your “nasty” profile , in fact most people that i have inked are either business people, homemakers or students getting a “rite of passage” type piece in preparation for venturing out into the world on their own.
looks like you will be avoiding alot of nice people.

what the hell are you talking about? what point are you trying to get across? who gives a fat s**t about superstars, and in what way is all that connected to my using an example of a “type of tattoo” as a reason for getting it.
they missed what rite of passage? do these people have tattoos?, i dont really care enough about them to know or even find out.

hahaha stereotypes… do wrestling “superstars” count? what about basketball “superstars”and how many of the people in your list NEVER did drugs?, why can you have tony hawk and i cant?.. pfft
your whole post made no point except to say some people have tats and some dont…. meh im bored already i have real things to get back to, like giving someone a piece of art that may or may not mean something to them, but to me knowing they like my work enough to want to wear it on their skin forever… how many times a day do YOU get THAT kind of compliment. that in itself make me a superstar and thats all that really counts isnt it… that you feel good about yourself.
