Kung Fu Panda SYNCFiX DVDRip XviD-NARROW

posterGroup “NARROW” just released a SYNCFiX for Kung Fu Panda. It will fix  the audio issues with the ARROW release. Unrar it to the folder where your avi is located, and run the panda.bat. I’ve included the fix and the subtitles.

It’s the story about a lazy, irreverent slacker panda, named Po, who is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around…which doesn’t exactly come in handy while working every day in his family’s noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po’s dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five — Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey — under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it’s up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master into reality? Po puts his heart - and his girth - into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.

    Thanx for the release NARROW. For future reference, releases that may be out of sync are easily fixed with virtualdub or nandub….the following link describes how you can correct OOS’s yourself and it only takes 3 min tops http://www.tutorialsroom.com/tutorials/ … _sync.html . But once again, for those that don’t really want to bother with this, thanx

    Many people have complained that the sync fix doesn’t work, in that case your probably using a standalone player and should select “ms” instead of “frames” under audio - interleaving (see linked tutorial)

    October 23rd, 2008 | 21:25

    maybe I’m just dumb, but I don’t see how a bat file is going to fix the audio on an avi file. Sounds fishy to me.

    And with 2 people saying that they didn’t notice anything sync problems, that really makes me cautious about the sync fix.
    Me and the kids will watch tonight and see for ourselves.

    October 23rd, 2008 | 21:26

    @18 Klark Kent

    It’s not so much they don’t know how to rip the DVD, it’s actually that they are rushing to be the first to get it out. Instead of providing quality they just want to be first. Kind of stupid if you ask me but it’s the way it is. At the cost of quality they get it released first. Then another group that would have had it released has to wait until it’s nuked to release theirs. Oh well…stupid groups do it.

    Okay, can somebody kick this stupid f’in bear in the teeth already?

    How about posting links to movies, apps and PC games like you used to?

    I understand THIS is a fix, fair enough, but I already have a TV Guide and can watch your ‘cutting edge releases’ on regular TV, as for posting a half dozen copies of the same flick because each one has a better green tint to the grass, gimme a break already.

    Whatever happpened ot the old rlslog, sure people left because they thought they were getting screwed and I still stuck with RLSLOG because those that left seemed to be whiners, however if they were the only reason you actually posted worthwhile releases, and lots of them, then what is left on RLSLOG? Late night TV shows? Ripped TV shows that are on twice a week on different channels and XBOX games, niiice.

    Guys…

    Since it’s an animated movie, it’s quite easy to mistake ARROW’s release as being in sync. This script moves the audio 220ms forward and makes the release perfect!

    Look at 18:20 (when the gate opens) or at 40:55 (the fight) and you’ll see for yourselves.

    Bottom line: the SYNCFiX is alright and clearly improves the audio/video sync in this movie.

    tnx to avivahal

    @43 you’re right. And charging for rips is as bad as these twink chasers in China that sell CAM copies cheap on the street or from seedy little boutique stores. Sad…but true.

    too bad when you sync it up it’s still out of sync when you burn it to a cd-r to play on a dvd player.

    pointless.

  58. amy
    October 24th, 2008 | 02:52

    Looking at the .vcf file:

    VirtualDub.Open(”arw-kfp.dvdrip.xvid.avi”,0,0);
    VirtualDub.audio.SetInterleave(1,500,1,0,220);
    VirtualDub.audio.SetMode(0);
    VirtualDub.video.SetMode(0);
    VirtualDub.SaveAVI(”arw-kfp.dvdrip.xvid-sync.avi”);

    If I understand it correctly (I am still learning), the syncfix preloads the movie 500ms and offsets it (forward) by 220ms, I think.

  59. amy
    October 24th, 2008 | 02:56

    Oh, for those who can’t get the syncfix to work. The filename in the .vcf file has to match the video file you downloaded. Rename the video file or modify the .vcf file to match each other, and it should work :D

    @16 - The full URL for using VirtualDub for a sync fix is:

    http://www.tutorialsroom.com/tutorials/av/vdub_adjust_sync.html

    This works very well - assuming that the film is out of sync in a “consistent” manner throughout the film. I recently used it on a film that was out of sync by about two-tenths of a second for the first three-fourths of the film … BUT … was in sync for the last quarter of the film. In this case, I used VDub to split the file into two parts - adjusting the sync on only the first part. But, it does work.
