Kung Fu Panda 2008 720P BLURAY X264-OUTDATED

posterOUTDATED just released the High Def version for Kung Fu Panda. The last  release was the DVDRip by ARROW(followed by  a syncfix), and here we have the final HQ version. Enjoy.

It’s the story about a lazy, irreverent slacker panda, named Po, who is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around…which doesn’t exactly come in handy while working every day in his family’s noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po’s dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five — Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper and Monkey — under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it’s up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master into reality? Po puts his heart – and his girth – into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.

    I wonder if this will be the “final” release as stated above, since this group is known not to have the best quality, and the file size is small also…
    Yes, I know that animations compress well, but a DVD5 release would still look better.

    agreed, 2 gig release? puleeze. granted it will be better than an xvid, but i wanna see it in true 720.

    @2

    The syncfix was for the DVDRip by ARROW, not this release. And I personally didn’t find it out of sync, so the syncfix actually messed it up on my computer. Your mileage may vary.

    Awesome. Although I would of preferred 4gig atleast for an animation movie, 2 gig is ok, I watched Madagascar some time back in a 2GB mkv on plasma and it looked great, but there again you cannot really tell with animation movies, HD I mean, except the vibrant colors of course.

    I really don’t know that much about this group. But related to the file size, I do have ice. Age.2 1080p its little over 2.2GB and look really good as backup movie. I never had the chance to view any movie for this group but I will give it a try until the real Bluray come out

    @5, actually the sync was like half a second… if you play both of the movies in parallel you will notice a slight difference.

    @3, that statement proves you don’t know anything about image compression… just damn google for x264 animation releases and see that most of them, if not all are 2/3 GB.

    h264/mpeg-4 part 10/AVC (all synonymous) is the standard itself while x264 is a specific encoder, like mp3 = standard lame = encoder

  17. Alan
    October 30th, 2008 | 16:22

    x264 are free codec implementations from commercial h264 standard codecs. Its almost the same.

    I think this Rip is not real HD……maybe Upscaled DVDrip?

    Please verify before you make accusations. Your statement shows you don’t know about compression. Just because most XviD movies are 700MB, does that mean 1.4GB releases aren’t going to look better.
    I’ve seen a direct comparison of Madagascar 4.5GB and 2Gb, and the larger one looked better. I’m not saying it was a huge difference, but it did look better (the 4.5GB was a bit sharper). Check out these shots if you don’t believe me (notice the details in the nose fur).

    right, i dont have any good software just a normal bog standard pc, is there any point in me downloading this or should i just download the axxo one instead. im downloading this from a private tracker supremespeeds, i just keep rejoining and leech, but what u people think, waste of time or what?

    @20 good pics, i was flicking back and forth to tell the difference, but its hardly anything….well unless ur actually looking for a difference with ur nose up against the screen, and thats just being anal.

    October 30th, 2008 | 17:55

    @23
    Yeah, there’s not a huge difference, but I have an eye for detail and if you’re going to keep the movie, why not get the best version? ;-) .
    Also, if you have a decent PC, you should be able to play this fine – and it’ll be better quality than an aXXo rip for sure. If the movie skips while playing then get CoreAVC, that’s the most efficient h.264 decoder available. You can find links for it on rlslog.

    @23 if you’ve got a somewhat decent (at least 1280 in horizontal resolution) display and if you’re PC is capable of playing back 720p content you’re gonna notice the difference for sure.

    MovieFan, I’m talking about image compression… nut overall compression. And yeah, I don’t know anything about it!

    With your examples you just pointed out how dumb you are. FACT! :) )

    700MB with 1.4 GB vs 2+ GB with DVD5 is not a very good comparison, Snips! Then why not release the damn thing in native H264 or VC1? Oh… cause it’s over 30GB in size!!!

    Thing about CD releases is that it’s SCENE rule, and of course most iNTERNALs will be 1.4 even if the first good release was 700. That’s why it’s a bad comparison.

    In this case, 2 or 3GB is suffice cause ppl today use various storage devices with various sizes. Some use HDDs, others large capacity DVDs. So the rule of the size of the release was left up to the sceners!

    The larger Madagascar looks a bit better, but not enough to justify a 125% increase in file size. Grated, it might have better audio. If you want pirated content, you get what’s best… if you want to keep it for a personal collection, YOU BUY IT!

    Also about the gradient… that shows how less you know about IMAGE (DUDE!!!) compression! Not the general term “compression”.
    That image was done using a 12 bit output format which can be processed faster, stored using less space than RGB and is not noticeable in MOTION. True, when taking a core frame you will see the difference, but in motion… most likely you won’t. have you ever done image processing?… or opened PS? Guess not!

    You have a lot to learn my young padawan!

    @Jason

    You seem to speak as though there is very little a difference between 2GB and 4GB. If your eyes don’t see it then its your lack of visual perception and it is really sad that you don’t have that sense. Even more sad is you pounce on someone who does see quality. More importantly 4GB fits nicely into a DVD and most people like that.

    So next time.. do think before you type your baseless ramble and shove that 12bit output up your brain, Mr. Know all Jedi!

    OK, I don’t want to add more fuel to this fire, and I’ll just leave it how it is and let people get whatever version they want of this. If you don’t mind a bigger file size, get the 1080 4GB release. If you want smaller size get the 720 2GB release.
    About the gradient in the image I posted from this release, it was actually because of the image format/compression itself, and not the video source (I got the image from someone else’s post, which wasn’t a good idea I guess). I looked a the original video and the gradient is much smoother.
    OK, I’ll leave it be now.
