KTB Small News Post
Just a small news post in this slow news week. It’s really small so don’t tell me it’s small, I know it is. There hasn’t been a lot of interesting news lately which will change as soon as the holidays are coming with the GeForce 9 series, a shitload of games and a few movies I’d really like to see. Any good movie worth watching in theaters will be reviews on opening night (more or less depending on where you live since not all movies have a world wide release) on KTB. Thats all for now, enjoy what little news there was this week.
Not a lot of interesting news the entire week, so I’ll just post whatever bit of news I had in this small post. First off Kane and Lynch is set for a release on the 20th of November. At least now we have an exact date for this awesome game in the making. There’s also been sort of an update on the minimum requirements for Crysis:
CPU: Intel P4 2.8Ghz or AMD equivalent RAM: 1GB Video Card: 6800GT (256mb) or ATI/AMD Radeon 9800 Pro (256mb) HDD Space: 16GB OS: Microsoft Windows [XP and Vista I imagine] Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
Still… Not too bad for such a great game. In other news, there a small update on the format war’s progress and a potential end to it might be closer than you think.
A stand alone Blu-ray player sells for about $500, while HD DVD players cost about $400, and prices are expected to drop further as the holiday shopping season nears.
Gownder said Blu-ray’s content advantages are somewhat diminished since the recent decision by Viacom Inc’s (VIAb.N: Quote, Profile, Research) Paramount studio to commit exclusively to HD DVD. HD DVD hardware prices have also dropped into consumers’ preferred price range, he said.
“Weakened by these developments, Blu-ray needs to offer a viable hardware model at the $250 price point by Christmas 2007,” he said in the report. “The Blu-ray camp must also stave off further studio defections, and employ more aggressive promotional tactics to counter HD DVD’s recent momentum.”
You can read the rest of the article right here. And that was about it. Of course with the upcoming holiday season we’re going to be washed away by games, movies and nextgen hardware so next time I’m sure there’ll be a lot more interesting stuff to read about.

That post is spam
this post is useless but not spam
i just got message Server Overloaded.
i am wondering how many ppl are online at the site?
“Hot info about scene releases”
And other crap no one cares about.
server overloaded… i guess the sh1ttier things get - the more popular they are these days.
i have no idea why i keep visiting this site… it smells like a ripe rotten kunt in the last few months… just look at the last few posts - all useless and a waste of time. korean and japanese flix? wtf are you talking about???
last good post was about the us website redirecting to p0rn.
other than that - fecking waste of time…
if there are no news just don’t post… btw what is the average age of the editors here…???
what you on about gee force 9 series, cracka
Numbnuts, don’t press the READ MORE button if you’re not interested. Also, since when did this post become the complaint bin? Go whine about stuff no one cares about on an actual forum rather than a blog. What’s wrong with foreign movies? I like ‘em and so do many others. Jesus Christ what’s the average age of the RLSLOG readers? For crying out loud, GTFO!
“Another complaint bin entry”
I just dont understand the new censorship…..”dont be rude”….wtf is that all about?
The internet is a great place to fight without anyone getting hurt. People can name call and argue all day and all the offended people have to do is not read it…..
I was under the impression that the admins behind this site believe in freedom of expression, free speech being an integral pillar in the defense of release sites like this; what gives?
A band of thieves, pirates, and libertarians but we have to play nice with others internet emotions? Am i missing something here?
#5 plz stop using the internet…..
blog doesn’t = forum
this would be the same as if you would be complaning to New York Times because you think that an article is sh!t….
It’s short.
@8 You know, you are exactly right. It’s amazing how clearly you make a point. You are proving that this band of thieves, pirates and libertarians does not have to be “rude”; it can be constructive. None will argue with that. Although the “what is the average age of editors” and “what is the average age of users” questions bring up a great point… ever notice how nobody ever seems to get along in the posts? Or how half the responses will look like a brain dead 12 year old added them and the other half have something resembling a thoughtful comment? These are interesting questions (for me, at least), but ultimately, I must agree with Kevin. Don’t care, don’t read. You will also notice those nice shiny category links on the right hand side. Believe it or not, those are REAL links and the whole frame isn’t a jpeg of what a useful site “could” be.
@8: The internet is a great place to fight? This makes me wonder what kind of childhood you had, no really. And this just makes me laugh: “and all the offended people have to do is not read it…..”. So in order not to be offended by a specific post we must not read it? How does that make sense? How do I know if the post that I am about to read will offend me or not? You’re a fucking idiot. Also, where did you get that quote from anyway. I don’t remember ever having said that. If you want real proof that the average RLSLOG reader has just become a pain in the ass, just look at the (staff) script this site had to use in order to keep annoying little fucks from pretending they are site staff. Grow up. If everything about this website sucks so bad then why oh why are you still in my face? Go find another website just like RLSLOG! Oh that’s right there aren’t really any. (No, there aren’t any blogs with extensive release info like this.)
LOL #12 nice real mature.
The “dont be rude” is in the comments guidelines directly above comment #1 in all of the posts. Then you call me a “fu**ing idiot” LOL nice following your own admin’s site rules.
And how am i “in your face” ? You have some anger and self inferiority issues it appears. I was just making a post here because it is a generic post, i didnt say anything about your post in particular.
However it did kind of suck now that you mention it…… LOL
@ jdizzle*wannabe*1337
common, why are you online at this hour? shouldnt you be at kindergarden by now?
If you’re average reader is “a pain in the ass” perhaps you should look at what exactly it is about this site that draws naught save rectal abrasions.
The very nature of this site makes things dicey — thieves and pirates are not generally a polite lot by nature. Add in an often uncouth — to put it overly mildly — and adversarial staff, a general elementary school atmosphere, sub-elementary school grammar and spelling leading to a general impression of lack of give-a-fart, let alone anything remotely like professionalism, and, really, in the end it’s kind of amazing that things are as civil as they are.
If you don’t like your readers, and clearly you don’t, change what you’re doing. If you aren’t willing to change what you’re doing, don’t blame your readership. Only an idiot would create a biker bar and then whine and act shocked when bikers show up.
I wish the rating system was still in place. Taken down because “it lagged the site”. What, two additional columns in a database (which could be taken with the rest of the post in the same query for virtually no difference speedwise) with one query needed to submit your choice, it makes it lag? Wow, that’s either real bad programming or it’s just a lie. Maybe they didn’t like the rating these kinda posts were getting?
Notice there isn’t one positive response to this BLOG entry.
Rant over.
TQD: well you probably arent too good programmer - every single vote has to be stored in the database to prevent multiple clicking and if you have a post with 10 000 votes, then you are working with 10 000 rows every time someone views such a page, which is like every 30 seconds in case of popular posts…
Very interesting post actually. It made me feel good inside that my pc specs gleem over Crysis’ requirements, and it’s been a while since I heard anything about the High Definition debate. The hardware is still way too expensive, so a price cut will be welcomed.
My boss bought 300 HD-DVD version, which cost him about 22GBP, very expensive, not sure if it’s worth it, but on the back of the case it did display a lot of extras and crazy things.
How much are blank HD-DVD’s anyway? I think SVP were selling them at about 10GBP each. Nasty huh!
Looking forward to Unreal Tournament 3 and Pro Evo 2008. So, should be an interesting couple of months.
hey mate i wanna play pro evo 6 online i have already created an accont and all that stuff but it says something about a network access disc do you need that disc to play online an if yes how do you get that disc….
