A few days ago “Hot Fuzz” came out and now here is an old Swedish action/comedy film that has a decent rating at IMDB. The NFO says that the audio is English and it’s Swedish, English subs are included for the people who don’t speak the language. People who already seen this movie could delight us by informing about this film. The samples look good, as PFa’s Internal releases are always good.

Police officer Benny is obsessed with American police cliches and livens up his own boring everyday life with dreams of duels with bad guys. But poor Benny and his colleagues doesn’t have much to do in the small town of Högboträsk. Most of their days are spent drinking coffee, eating sausage waffles and chasing down stray cows. Peace and quiet is the dream of every politician, but for the Swedish authorities, the lack of crooks is reason to close the local police station. When the cops investigate a suspected act of vandalism, they realise that they themselves may be able to raise the crime statistics high enough to stay in business.

    I’m from Denmark and have watched this swedish flick several times. I can promise you that this is a very very funny movie, atleast that’s what I think. I really hope it’s in original language cause it feature some hilarious lines in english by Torkel Petersson: “FUCK YOU MOTHAFUCKA!!”

    Basicly the plot is about the police force in a little town where nothing happens and therefor the swedish police head office decides to close down the station in that little town, to prevent this the officers starts making up crime to increase the need for policeofficers in the area.

    I had too high expectations to this when it came out, after seeing the hilarious “Jalla! Jalla!” by the same director.

    It might be a great movie on it’s own, but it pales (in my eyes) when compared to “Jalla! Jalla!”…

    I´ve seen both this one and Jalla!jalla!, and I must say this one is much funnier. Jallajalla is a more serious comedy, this one is just extremly funny. Ive never seen films where they dont speak english or some sort of scandinavian (excpet some asian horror/samurai films) so I dont know how it will be for an Englishman to see this. But I think they will laugh pretty great too :)

    It was a good movie…a little slow at points, but it’s well worth it to see the crazy dream action/fight scenes

    Gunna get this asap. Seems like a more bizzare version of hot fuzz… but in sweeden… obviously….

    I’ve never seen a scandinavian film apart from star wreck so i’ll keep an open mind.
