Knight Rider 2008 Pilot HDTV XviD-LOL

Finally the horrid American Gladiators 2008 finishes tonight. After the finale, NBC’s Knight Rider 2008 edition airs. The pilot episode is set in a ‘tv movie’ format, which runs 120 minutes long. The Knight Industries 3000 will be an upgrade to The Knight Industries 2000. KITT will be voiced by Val Kilmer. KITT is going to be a 2008 Ford Mustang GT500KR and will have similar features as compared to the original KITT including the ability to morph into a “battle mode”, a new effect achieved primarily with CGI animation. The KITT 3000 features are:

* 550 horsepower solar hybrid engine
* Sports-tuned suspension
* Xenon headlamps with infrared night-vision
* Metallic paint with nanotech enhanced camouflage
* Military satellite access
* FBI database access
* Self-regeneration and damage repair
* High-speed Internet
* Artificial Intelligence
* Voice-activated GPS system

Pilot: 24 year-old Stanford University Ph.D. candidate Sarah Graiman is set to follow in her genius father Charles’ footsteps. Her life takes a dramatic turn when men try to abduct her. She receives a mysterious phone call from KITT, a car of her father’s creation, letting her know that her father is in danger. Sarah and KITT set off to recruit her childhood friend Mike Tracer into helping them figure out who has her father and is trying to steal KITT. Mike, having just returned from serving in Iraq is jaded and reluctant to help, but eventually agrees. This two-hour movie event is a modern day sequel to the classic 1980s television series starring Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, and Bruce Davison, with a special guest appearance by David Hasselhoff.

    This is only the pilot! Maybe if we start a petition they could change the car. Probably not, but this Mustang doesn’t even has similar design lines with the original KITT.

    Everything in this episode sucks. Mustang - looks bad, bad aerodinamic, bad voice, ugly inside… Why nanotech, the original was bulletproof, without it. Plot really bad, as the actors too. I don’t get it, why they didn’t go to a Hot Rod shop and let a Corvette or something modify.

    Product Placement. They get sh*tloads of money for advertising the new Mustang. Putting in an old corvette or the trans-am wont pay as theyre out of production.

    Sounds like one huge advertisement for the Mustang, with a show tacked on as an afterthought.

    They could at least have used something like a Corvette if not a TransAm :(

    I loved the first episodes, of the first show, maybe they got worse but did not watch all of them of the first series.
    This looked good enough to me.
    Those wanting a TransAm to the show, why?
    Obviously I wanted one too when I was a kid, but have, alas, grown up to realize I’ll never have enough money (for a viper or vette, trans am i could not fix when it broke down if I got work and bought 2nd hand some 80s one) ;)

    Looking forward to 2nd episode.

    You guys gotta remember though. This movie was a test to see how good it would do because the director wants to turn it into a series. If it does get turned into a series, alot things will be changed in the show. You might like it.

    Just so there’s no confusion. This was a movie, not a show.

    I agree with the masses, using a muscle car was a trually bad move - they shouldve used a car which was in the same class as the Trans

    Built like a brick s**t house but looks sleek
    instead of Looks like a brick s**t house and looks nasty

    Its obvious they didnt read comments about transformers directors not using the original car for bumblebee.

    Hopefully they’ll realise there mistake and just blow that car up and put KITT into a more suitable one.

    Still going to watch the pilot to see if it satisfies the nostalgia.

    All these crappy remakes of TV classics makes me sick… How many more great TV shows have to be tarnished… is Hollywood gonna ruin the A-Team next, like they did the Bionic Woman? Which even Katee Sackhoff couldn’t save.

    I have to agree with #22 and the rest of the guys.This show is nowhere close to the original.I mean in this show supposedly the main star is the car… So why they picked one hell of an ugly car? Pfffff… The old car was classy ,this one looks like someone with no taste at all buffed up his vehicle…They should talk to the ”pimp my ride” guys to give em an idea or two i guess…

    people… learn to adapt. we dont need the original of EVERYTHING. seriously, people complain wayyy too much. the car looks fine imo. and if you dont like it, watch the old KR. whats the point of using the same car or even one close to it?? its been DONE. and it doesnt need to be done again. no one is forcing you to watch it, so stop complaining.

    @db post 138 : Adapting doesn’t mean eating all the re-fried food they serve u m8, coz u ll end up in the hospital,lol…Also, we ‘re not complaining here, we ‘re just dissin’ this bulls*it remake.We’d be complaining if this was worh it and apparently it’s not.What? the car looks fine? U must be one of the guys who made this uninspired remake,lol. As said its nothin but a 2 hour ford ad. I didn’t like the original series as it was the “all american knight savin every1″ myth, but it had an air of freshness ,some cool “new” ideas and some acceptable actors and plot was almost what it should for an action series.All this made the old one watchable. Nothing of the old one is here m8. Cheers

    i liked it. The most important part to me is that the executive producer is Glen a. Larson (creator of Knight Rider) and has the support of David Hasselhoff (the original Michael Knight), so those are the reasons that I support the movie and will support a series if it gets picked up.

    well wasn’t the pits, but wasn’t great either. i will wait to see a couple shows first before giving a thumbs up or down…

    they have me hooked for now…the acting was a little crap i must admit though, hope that improves(i suppose it was only the pilot though too).

    I’m truly amazed at how many posters here don’t understand, even after it’s been explained a dozen times; The new car is a Ford, because Ford sank a bunch of money into this. Most of the vehicles in the movie were from Ford, there were Ford ads at every commercial break. I’m not saying it’s right, or that I like it, I’m saying that everyone who is saying they should have dumped the Ford and used a sleeker car doesn’t understand that if they hadn’t used a Ford, they probably wouldn’t have had the money to make this in the first place.

    As for the movie; I thought it was ok, although it seems strange that the new KITT has less personality than the old one. I know they probably did that to make it seem more realistic to today’s audiences, but it seems really out of place to anyone who watched the old show.

    old school thinking like you all are stupid! the trans am is no longer in production.this is 2008 not 1980’s.Of coz there’s no TRANS AM to use for the new knight rider!
    This is not a REMAKE!This is a continuation of the original series.Kinda like a sequel to the original. So how can u comapare this to bionic woman(which is a remake)??

    I am disappointed in kitt’s interior layout.I mean, there’s no cool buttons to press, no colorful l.e.d,kitt’s voice module looks so FUGLY…
    the steering wheel looks like someone saw off part of it juz to make it look like original kitt’s gullwing steering wheel …Tat is sooo lame!!
    Overall, kitt’s design sux! which reminds me “Team Knight Rider!!”
    val kilmer did a lousy job on kitt’s voice too.Listen to kitt talks is like listening to a boring guy who talks bout his boring life…shoot me pls!!

    So.. it can download illegal divx episodes of itself, then look up the FBI database and see it’s own name there.

    I think thats it would have been better tog o with a 2002 Blackbird transam that with a Mustard GT. Thats just my opinion and as for who ever said that their 500HP ford mustard can take on a trans am they havent heard of the 98 TransAm Formula with a modified LS2 engine 600RWHP only 50 where ever made.

    8 when the show started, 34 now. Both perfect ages to watch it. I didn’t watch the remake yet, so I hope I won’t regret what I just wrote. ;)

    @Trans Am: There should’ve been at least some kind of good bye for old times sake. Maybe there would’ve been, if David Hasselhoff would be sober enough to stand on his own feet. 0_o

    I got a bit confused wathing this.

    At first i thought it was made for adults seeing the bloke lying with 2 other women in bed and the cop whos a lesbian saying goodbye to her one night stand but watching the rest made me think it was actually for kids.

    It wasnt directed/written well at all in my opinion.

    I dont think even the director knew which target audience he was aiming for when doing it (unless it was late teens).

    Didnt satisfy my nostalgia one bit.
