Knight Rider 2008 Pilot HDTV XviD-LOL

Finally the horrid American Gladiators 2008 finishes tonight. After the finale, NBC’s Knight Rider 2008 edition airs. The pilot episode is set in a ‘tv movie’ format, which runs 120 minutes long. The Knight Industries 3000 will be an upgrade to The Knight Industries 2000. KITT will be voiced by Val Kilmer. KITT is going to be a 2008 Ford Mustang GT500KR and will have similar features as compared to the original KITT including the ability to morph into a “battle mode”, a new effect achieved primarily with CGI animation. The KITT 3000 features are:

* 550 horsepower solar hybrid engine
* Sports-tuned suspension
* Xenon headlamps with infrared night-vision
* Metallic paint with nanotech enhanced camouflage
* Military satellite access
* FBI database access
* Self-regeneration and damage repair
* High-speed Internet
* Artificial Intelligence
* Voice-activated GPS system

Pilot: 24 year-old Stanford University Ph.D. candidate Sarah Graiman is set to follow in her genius father Charles’ footsteps. Her life takes a dramatic turn when men try to abduct her. She receives a mysterious phone call from KITT, a car of her father’s creation, letting her know that her father is in danger. Sarah and KITT set off to recruit her childhood friend Mike Tracer into helping them figure out who has her father and is trying to steal KITT. Mike, having just returned from serving in Iraq is jaded and reluctant to help, but eventually agrees. This two-hour movie event is a modern day sequel to the classic 1980s television series starring Justin Bruening, Deanna Russo, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, and Bruce Davison, with a special guest appearance by David Hasselhoff.

    that is one ugly car they chose to use.

    the previous knight rider show had a nice sleek Trans-Am with almost no grill in the front, and just that cool red light bouncing back and forth.

    this knight rider is not a sleek looking car at all, but almost like a wannabe 60’s style mustang, that looks like they glued on every dealer-sold ground effect they could find.

    Show was horrible.
    It was like a 2-hour advertisement for Ford. The first car chase scene had nothing but the new Ford 2008 production line.

    First K.I.T.T was a modified Trans-Am (Appeareance I mean)
    But for this movie and the new series they should have designed a new car based on the Trans Am. In 90’s there was the Knight Rider 2000 movie and that was the latest Trans Am but that wasn’t really good too.

    Mustang is a great car. But not really suitable for K.I.T.T

    I’d prefer the original K.I.T.T and a suitable plot for that.

    But also there are sponsorship issues and…whatever I’ll try to enjoy it as it is.. Haven’t watched it yet..

    gmh in australia have a lovly number called hk monaro it is a nice looking old muscle car or look at the new Pontiac G8 GT this will blow you 500 hp imaginery mustang to the weeds in real life it only has 300 hp compaired to 400 hp in the pontiac dude the aussies know how to build fast cars

    Yeah where’s the Cylon inspired red eyeball in the front? NBC is really hastening the fall of Western Civilization by bring back this turd of a show. The only reason I watched it back then, was cus I was 13 at the time. You’d think they could come up with a decent Sci-Fi show. Oh well.. I’ll stick with Torchwood, Doctor Who, Battlestar etc..

    This new edition of Knight Rider could have been soooo much better if Ford didnt kill it. You cannot have a car chase with the new KITT and have a Fusion chasing it. That mustang is so horrible. It cannot even compare to the original T/A. Ive already decided to never watch another episode

    And to anyone else. Why is everybody mentioning that they either will or won’t watch other episodes? It was designed as a two hour made for tv movie and has not yet been picked up for a series. Also, even if it does it won’t be till next year I presume, to give them time to produce the episodes and as I said it has not been picked up yet, so it may not get made into a series at all.

    Just enjoy it for what it was, entertainment! The mustang was fine in the movie. Also, the NEW K.I.T.T is just that NEW. It was mentioned in the movie that he built another one. As for people not believing the “Self repair system”, it was a way of explaining the “invulnerability” of the original K.I.T.T because nothing is indestructible, everything has a weakness.

    If it does continue as a series I will gladly watch because it will be a darn site better than Battlestar which had a crap season in season 3 and probably won’t be much better in season 4 because they are finishing this season.

    Have watched it and the one thing that really annoyed me was the black female detective on the case was supposed to be a lesbian…with a white girlfriend (probably had a wheelchair just out of shot). I wonder if they are going to make this an issue in the series if it goes ahead. Or will they drop it due to demographics…

    or maybe I read something into nothing.

    so its like the car is the main character.

    Whatever! Battlestar is one of the best shows around at the moment and had a brilliant third season (especially the final episode - even more so after watching ‘Razor’). This new Knight Rider isn’t fit to lick Battlestar’s cylons.

    They did this once already, it was called Knight Rider 2000 with Hasselhoff, the original voice of KITT, and it kicked ass except for the death of Devin, that kind of blew…. but I haven’t seen this 2008 tv movie yet, (2000 was a tv movie as well, meant to revive interest in the series but failed to do that) and I can’t see this version being anywhere near good as the 2000 flick.

    As for the new car, yeah it’s crap. They did want something else for it, but the mustang was the only production American sports car available with a backseat.
