Any 1 knows an opensource alternative?, specially the part to make backups to network drives.

DriveXML is completely free OSS and an excellent app. It is probably better than this, but I can’t say for sure as I have not used it. The backup is stored in .xml, and you can browse your backups.

It is also built into the OSS PBE Ultimate Boot CD, another must have excellent utility. This would be needed if your OS stopped booting.

Norton Backup Exec System Recovery and Acronis are the only other ones I would recommend. All 3 are excellent apps.
