Well, the second volume of this movie was pred not long ago, now it’s time for the very first volume. Group SEPTiC brings us the HDRiP release. The movie is an epic-length revenge drama, with homages to earlier film genres, such as Hong Kong martial arts movies, Japanese samurai movies and Italian spaghetti westerns; an extensive use of popular music and pop culture references; and deliberate over-the-top violence.

PLOT: The lead character, called ‘The Bride,’ was a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, lead by her lover ‘Bill.’ Upon realizing she was pregnant with Bill’s child, ‘The Bride’ decided to escape her life as a killer. She fled to Texas, met a young man, and on the day of their wedding was gunned down by an angry and jealous Bill (with the assistance of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad). Four years later, ‘The Bride’ wakes from a coma, and discovers her baby is gone. She, then, decides to seek revenge upon the five people who destroyed her life and killed her baby. The saga of Kill Bill Volume I begins.

    anyone with the where with all knowledge out there that could give someone a little advice please… i have been downloading the dvdrips etc for a while and burning them to dvd on ocassion…

    my questions are:

    (1) what do all the cool people use to burn avi files to dvd (especially with regards to subtitles and overall quality in the transcoding)

    (2) what do y’all use with commercial dvds to either copy the dvd to a recordable or rip it to an avi file etc?

    (3) PERTAINING TO THIS RLSLOG POST IN PARTICULAR… i just upgraded to a new laptop that has a blu-ray rom/dvd writer. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE explain what the hd rip of a bd to the standard 4.3gb is about? is it a regular dvd image or what not, just taken from the hd bd source?

    (4) lastly… being that i can play but not burn bd… is there a way for me to download the actual bd (20gb etc) files on tpb or elsewhere and at least watch them on this thing?

    sorry to ask here – but i know that its the people who visit this site and others that would be in the know about all this. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT if someone could just give me a little run down on some of this… if you just give me software titles for the first 2 questions ill figure out the rest. but the questions about blu-ray i am especially interested in….. thanks guys

    @6
    (1) I dunno, your player can’t decode XviD?
    (2) I use DVD Shrink if I want to shrink DVD (sic!) or Media Coder to rip it to AVI.
    (3) HD Rip of a BD is high-res, but more compressed (with H.264 codec) video. DVD is low-res.
    (4) Well, you can watch this stuff without burning anything. You probably have to mount it in Alcohol120% if it’s an image (ISO, MDF…) and/or just play it in some DVD player application. But why bother? Is there really any difference between 9 GB 1080p rips and actual BD?

    @ 7 and 11 — i posted that originally… thanks to you both… appreciate the info…

    a friend tried to convert a h.264 or whatever file…think it was .mkv with it… and burn to dvd… i will assume then that the hi-res aspect of it all would be the reason why it appeared to be ’shrunk down’ in size when viewed on the big screen…

    Whats with Rlslog the past couple of weeks.. heres a new release and heres the new torrents search link for it,, but NO frigging torrent is there for it.
    This one and TCM1974, say they have em both and they are out, but no frigging files.

    Yes, this is the heavily censored version (so no nice shots of Uma’s puppies and puss ;-( )

    I’d wait for teh full unrated version personally.
