I like to use QuickTime on my Mac…I find that about 15% of MViD's are OOS.
Yes, VLC player enables you view files that are out of sync, but I convert the files from .mkv to .avi/.divx format so the files can be streamed online on the DivX Web Player.
The corrections the VLC player make do not help when converting…so I check the files first on QT (or the DivX Desktop Player works, too) to save myself the grief of converting an OOS file.
