Keane are an English piano rock band, which is comprised of composer, bassist, and pianist Tim Rice-Oxley, lead vocalist Tom Chaplin and drummer Richard Hughes. They are known for using a piano as their lead instrument instead of guitars, significantly differentiating them from most rock bands. After over 8 million sales of their first two albums, they are back with the 3rd album “Perfect Symmetry”. The band have completely transformed their look and their new album is said to be also very unexpected. I got to know this band from my favourite teen drama “One Tree Hill”, which features quite a few of their songs. Thanks to group FNT, we can enjoy their latest works now.

    after first listen, this looks dogshjit

    that album is what happens, when you turn away from traditional instruments. From music instruments, and
    start to do it digitally… what is up with that sound?
    drums are like small kids yamaha piano samples..
    overall sound is amazingly bad for a band of that caliber.
    Makes you miss the first album

    Im a big fan-seen em live a few times too but this is very, very disappointing.

    they have clearly made a conscious decision to move away from their distinctive style and I can respect that cos otherwise people may have become bored of their “sound” but this is not the way to go Im afraid.

    listened to the whole album 5 times in case it is a “grower” but I hate it-sooo sad!
