Have you checked out this NBC’s new adapted comedy yet? Maybe you will think it’s worse than the oringinal version. That’s what happens to the adapted show, there is always gonna be a comparison, right? Anyway, we should still give it up to LOL for their dedicated work.

EP 1.3 Old
Kath is excited about planning her flamboyant wedding to Phil, but is later made insecure by Kim’s remarks about how she might be too old for a big wedding. Meanwhile, Kim must deal with her insecurities of her own when she begins to think that her husband might be having an affair.

I didn’t like the first episode, but this one was actually kinda funny. hope it gets better.

It was already pulled in Australia, so there is that.

It’s so obvious why this show DID NOT work translated to the US.
.the whole point of this show was having white subruban trash acting like it was sophisticated..something which the Australian stars did convincingly because they werent typical Hollywood stars..
they really screwed this up, the casting is a massive mistake.
Take a pile of sh1t, then sh1t on it…

i managed 10 minutes into ep1 of the US version.
GhostGum – are you talking about your family members there or something? The Aussie show is brilliant, the US simply always has to take what others have done and make it their “own” for some unknown reason. They dont like to think that there are other countries existing outside their own borders so if something gets done better than what they can do then they make their own “conversion”. It wipes away the memory that another, original, version was made in the first place.

Given their success with the Aust version (they made it and it was Top 5 most weeks) Channel 7 bought the US version – in two weeks it dropped out of the 20 – week 3 will be reruns of the last Aust series [Rumour has it that the rest of the US series will be shown - but in the graveyard 'summer' (out of ratings) period, when no-one watches anyway] I won’t be watching (either) – first 3 series ( on ABC – National network broadcaster) were funny, but Ch7 series wasn’t!
