I haven’t installed this but i know AVG Pro recognizes a illegal key when you update. does kaspersky do that? or do you just have to download the updates manually from the site?

Yeah I really need a good AV, I cant use most of the AV’s. I tried AVG pro but it keeps telling me the keys are expired or not authorized, I tried using Nod32 latest edition but those keys are blacklisted. Avast still works but its not as good at detecting at kaspersky. I tried using solo AV pro and it gave me a key expired also.. What a day that was, it felt like the universe was against me lol. Hopefully this works. I really need a AV. I had to go back to the nod32 beta to get current updates :/.

personally i think you should only buy OSes and Antivirus progs. its just too much of a hassle. everything else can be cracked.
Is AVG free a load of crap then or what? All these cracked versions expire after a few weeks, seems a bit pointless tbh

I have stoped using these kaspersky releases cause all they do is find a key that was given away free in some country for a few months, and then in a few WEEKS when kaspersky notices the same key is getting massive usage, or is in one of these packages, they black list it. One install can only have 2 keys so you have to uninstall if both keys get black listed.

i have tried dozens of keys
fact is, in the past k has turned a blind eye to stolen keys, probably to increase market saturation
it is the easiest thing in the world for them to see which keys are being used by hundreds of people…in some cases they allow this…such as free keys given out in china
you can tell by using the k key reader tool
but as you say, these keys all expire either end of jan or march 30, 2008
stop wasting eveyone’s time by posting useless keys
there are plenty of decent FREE av apps
also, should have added
nobody needs av apps anymore
just run browsers and email and suspicious files like keygens in a sandbox
or use virtual machine
No need for AV these days. I haven’t used AV since XP service pack 2. I’ve used Vista for a year now without AV and have not had an infection nor have I had to re-install. Vista ROCKS.

To get the key to work - do not double click it and install to registry (kis.key) like some things we have to - Instead install KAS… When it is finished you will get a selection of 4 different resiter options.. the last being “activate later” …. You want to pick the second one from the top… Something like activate using key” …. then just browse to the file kis.key and do it that way and it works great
