metal is dead; someone let ‘em know!
Woot! Been searching everyday for this
Never heard their music, but dont you think they are imitating dethklok with their posture in that photo? or perhaps is the creator of metalocalipse the one thats imitating?
To writer: Did you mean “Don’t forget to buy”? I think you left out the word “don’t”…?
And to #7…. Don’t you realize that Dethklok is based on all these metal bands? They’re like the epitome of metal… metal incarnate. Metal bands have been takin “tough” photos (ie arms folded, dark grim look on their faces, etc) for ever!
RLSLog kicks ass…..
They aren’t imitating dethklok, thats just a pose that just about every rock and metal band uses for photos haha.
post the new ihsahn album once it drops… looking forward to it!

Thanks! i love these guys SOOO much.
more music on RLSLOG please!!
metal dead ? in your dreams, everything other than metal is dead they just dont know it yet. They are only having death spasms where metal kiked their azz.
To really understand the meaning of “kalma”, you need to get around old people at elderly home. You know that smell around old people, don’t you? It’s often called the smell of “kalma”, because people that reek the smell don’t live very long. Obviously one can also use the smell of “kalma” to describe the smell of dead people.
“Kalma” is also referred when something shocks you (ie. you have near death experience) and you get the “creeps”/cold waves go through your body. Those “creeps” are called the hands/touch of “kalma”..
..so, instead of using the word in assosiation with grave, it’s used in assosiation with death. Whether “kalma” is the death itself or just the one that takes you to death is fuzzy to me. However, “kalma” if often used to give physical form to phenomenans around death living can sense, so I suppose it’s more secure to call “kalma” the death, than anything else. Finnish word to Grim Reaper, that is
@#5 Metal Dead? That will never happen. apparently you live under a rock!
Anyway Thanks For The Metal!!!
awesome. thanks
keep the metal flowing
They look like The Kelly Family… of Darknesssssss!
NICE!
Sweet!
Iw been looking for a site that shows me new metal cd releases for quite some time, seems that rlslog now posts most metal bands;) keep em comming;)
Awesome! I loved The Black Waltz, so I’m really looking forward to this one. Kalmah is one of the few real good melodic metal bands still around, and I hope they stay alive and kicking for a long time.
Thanks for posting this, Over. Also, thanks to #21 for the explanation of the name/word.
Great post, thanks. Can hardly wait for the new Moonspell.
Nice
i agree you have to post more music… u forgot about panic at the discos release tho lol
21, u made me laugh bro.
liked ur comment.
thanks.
rlslog does NOT post most metal bands, not by a 1000th
Thanks Over you have really good taste in music, first you posted Arsis then In Flames, I see that list of future releases and it blows my mind.It is good to see there is at least one guy in RLSLOG who is not a sell-out(see the POD album post).
Nice post Over! keep up the good work!
Moonsorrow - Tulimyrsky - 30. April 2008
Woot.
Have you noticed that all these bands seem to look like they are exactly the same people in each one, it’s strange. Can’t say I listen to Death Metal so will never know if they sound the same!
@39-Ed - I wouldn’t say all death metal sounds the same anymore than all pop sounds the same, all country sounds the same or all dance/electronica sounds the same. All genres “sound the same” when compared with their own genre, with the exception of the production quality, which can be highly variable in any music style.

Whoever said they’re imitating Dethklok…
Kalmah has been in existence since 1998, almost ten years longer than Dethklok.
