Justice League The New Frontier 2008 STV DVDRiP XViD-PiPe

An unknown scene group PiPe brings us a new dvdrip of STV animated film. Justisce League is a story based on popular DC comics, transformed to the big screen by director Dave Bullock. This is certainly not for everyone but I’m sure we can find many fans of DC comics among our readers, who will probably appreciate this release.

Inspired by the best-selling graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke and produced by the multiple Emmy award winning animation legend, Bruce Timm, The New Frontier is the epic tale of the founding of the Justice League. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are all here of course, and so are Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Flash – whose incredible origins will be told for the very first time. Strangers at first, these very different heroes must overcome fear and suspicion to forge an alliance against a monster so formidable, even the mighty Superman can not stop it. If they fail, our entire planet will be cleansed of humanity.

I downloaded the (c-w) screener. It is Full screen and there are occasional black and white screens. I don’t know whats on this one but I will dl this rip and report back. By the way, although the movie needed to be about 20 minutes longer, it is th finest acheivement by DC Universe so far, all hail darwin cooke!!!!

    Excellent.

It’s not often that Hollywood are so obvious in drawing alegories to current American politics.

Although set as a 60’s piece.. the whole recall of McCarthyism was a superb illustration of the freedoms that the U.S are currently being denied.

    @25
Yeah , definitely WOULD BE great to see a JSA movie though I doubt that’ll ever happen. Obviously I’m sure you know this is not to do with the JSA …Just mr. cooke’s take of the story of the meeting and coming to be of the original Justice League of America. Great book! been really looking forward to this release! anxious to see if the cartooning resembles the unique lesser defined old look used in the GNovel.

This is the same source as the C-W advance. Is inexplicably resized to 16:9 (where the CW was incorrect at 5:4) from a 4:3 screener (occasionally goes black and white). I would venture to say judging from the compression artifacts matching up so well, its actually a re-encode of the C-W. Pretty lame.

a real JLA Movie will never ever live up to the expectations or the cartoon/comic. just take a look at the new superman. it su*ked. Spiderman was even worse. peter parker played by a wimp of an actor – seriously. the only promising super hero charakter movie is batman with christian bale.

so i rather stick with the cartoons and comics…

  48. JORZAC
    January 25th, 2008 | 15:45

Yea, that’s why Spidey is the No.#1 comic movie of all time, because of the “wimp of an actor”-
Aneway, this is no dvd rip, but the screener-
goes B&W for a bit then back.
Can’t recall any sync issues tho.

The black and white scenes are just to make it look like its back in the old days. You know where no one had a color tv in the 1950’s. Its such a good movie, with batman fighting cults.

    January 25th, 2008 | 21:14

Gimme the DVD, I’ll rip it better than this, an hour or so with AutoGK :p
From the sample, the quality looks very pixely, and it’s 4.3 stretched into 16:9.

Just watched this and it has to be one of the worst things i have ever seen !! messy, squashed together, hurried and lacking any kind of a plot and if your not a total and i mean total comic book geek then most of the film will just go over your head! i mean the bit with Arthur from Atlantis at the end !! wtf where did that come from. Most normal people that don’t speand there lives reading comic books all day will not have a clue who most of the characters are, and don’t get me started on some of the truly terrible voice casting!

Black & White screens ruined the Green Lanterns scenes. :(
Why oh why did this have to be a screener?

  61. BrotherJustin
    January 26th, 2008 | 13:50

Like everyone else, I was disappointed that there were B&W scenes and the aspect ratio was messed with. Why say it’s a DVDrip when it clearly isn’t, is there something to gain from lying? Any word on a proper yet?

id did not understand the comments, can anyone answer me?

    1. Is this FS or WS?
    2. Is there any audio sync problem?
    3. What about the b/w scenes? are they ripping errors or part of the movie?

  67. Timbzy
    January 30th, 2008 | 18:48

    1. It is a FS that has been stretched to WS.
    2. No.
    3. The b/w scenes occur every ten minutes or so and are there because this is not a DVDrip it is a Screener.

  68. LonnyManCan
    January 30th, 2008 | 21:30

This release has b&w scenes every 10 minutes or so .. not worth to burn on dvd (which I did last night) .. when I skimmed through it on my comp, I thought the b&w scenes were part of the movie .. after I burned it on dvd and watched on the tv, I noticed it was a screener .. if you want to just watch it, download it and watch on your comp .. it’s the best copy so far

Has no one ever seen a Warner DVD screener before? It’s their version of a timecode or watermark, it’s just that every 11 minutes the screen goes black and white on their preview screeners.
