Here it comes. The oscar-nominated movie that everyone seems to either love or hate, has finally arrived in its DVDRip form. The flawless DVDSCR was available since mid-January, and surely many of you have taken the chance to watch it by now. New boys Larceny, however, are the first to bring the retail DVDRip, following a line of high-profile releases by them lately. Quality is standard, the video bitrate is fair and audio is MP3.

UPDATE: Larceny have released an NFOFIX stating that the video bitrate is actually 825k.

Synopsis: “Juno” stars Ellen Page as the title character, a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker (Cera). With the help of her hot best friend Leah (Thirlby), Juno finds her unborn child a “perfect” set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa (Bateman and Garner), longing to adopt. Luckily, Juno has the total support of her parents (Simmons and Janney) as she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and ultimately figures out where she belongs.

    GREAT film, thanks Larceny.
    However didnt find this film funny in the slightest, might ahve laughed once but can’t remember when. Other than that - a great drama…go Kitty from X-Men!

    2nded at @6, it’s a great film worth the download. However I can’t see much of an improvement from the DVDSCR, not much of a difference in it, unless you get the DVDR.

    They should have used ‘Maeby’ from Arrested Development as Juno. They already used Michael Cera and Jason Bateman, might as well have completed the weirdness with Maeby.

    The specs of this rip sound a bit problemetic.. Why is the video bitrate so low, i.e., 656k? For a 96min 1 CD movie that has an audio bitrate of 128kbps, the video bitrate should be higher. Many scene releases of movies that are as long as this, i.e., 96 mins, have far better specs.

    Yeah, something is a bit off here. At that duration and audio bitrate, the average video bitrate, for a 700 MB release, would have to be between 870 and 890 kBit/s…
    Simple math says that the projected filesize at Larceny’s specified bitrate is ~547 MB.

    Must be a typo, If movie=700MB. 656Kb/s+128Kb/s=784Kb/s /8= 98KB/s x 60 x 1000 = 5.88MB/s x 96min = 564.48 MB. So 700MB - 564.48MB = 135.52MB missing. WTF :P

    By George, I think I’ve got it!
    They most probably just wrote down the avg bitrate of the sample! The film as a whole should have, as I’ve already said, a video bitrate of around 880 kbps on average…

    Someone needs to take one for the team, d/l this and confirm my genius :P

    The video bitrate of 656kbps are for the video sample.

    The video bitrate of the 1 minute video sample and the actual 700MB file usually has a huge difference.

    Perhaps someone who has downloaded this release could check the actual video bitrate.

    I saw this movie in the cinema with my girlfriend, she loved it but I hated it. I haven’t felt so tortured in a long time but at least it made her happy.

    the movie is not very good kinda slow going and leads nowhere

    just watched this in the movies(yeah it came late here) its a pretty nice movie, I’m gonna download it now, since I was going to do it anyhow, but I’m glad I know its a good one already, for I have to watch it a couple of times more ^^

    Nice video and audio quality: more than enough for this kind of movies (ie: without FX).

    The movie is good, but I was expecting a little bit more.
