Nice surprise appears here from group mVs. Jumper which has had a positive response from a lot of people in the rlslog comments is now finally released in R5 quality, as was expected at some point during this month. A lot of people have been waiting for this release so enjoy watching this sci-fi movie.

Quality: The quality of the video is very good, but the audio quality isn’t great. Supposed to be a line audio but it sounds more like a cam source (audio taken from Prevail rls). Not sure if its only me but the audio sounds sped up, the voices have a higher pitch (People have told me they DON’T have this issue). Audio seems to be in sync however. Seems like this release wont be getting nuked though.

A genetic abnormality allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between ‘Jumpers’ and ‘Paladins’ who have sworn to kill them. To his amazement the Paladins have shock nets and whips to tie down Jumpers so they cannot Jump.

    Yeah, I saw it in theatres, it wasn’t the best, but I liked it :) I guess I’ll wait for a better sounding version.

    It probably doesn’t make any difference to most people but this movie is nothing at all like the book.

    In the book, there is no “war that has been raging for thousands of years between ‘Jumpers’ and ‘Paladins’.” In fact, there are no “Paladins.” As a matter of fact, there are no “Jumpers.” There is just the one guy and in the book, he spends most of his time crying on his girlfriend’s shoulder. And then he goes off to fight terrorist hijackers.

    Basically, the book sucked. Too bad ’cause teleportation is really a cool concept.

    the sound/audio are horrible when converting to dvd and plays in a dvd player. Worth d/l if you’re watching it in a computer. But for all who wanted to convert to dvd…not worth the time to d/l. Wait for a better copy for sound.

    audio for playing on computer is about 6
    audio when playing in dvd player (after converting to dvd) is about 3. During scene w/loud noise, the audio would sound like loud static…very iritating.

    The audio is fine here… I don’t know what you guys are complaining about. Also to the guy that had audio problems after converting to dvdr, try encoding the audio separately with besweet. use 2channel AC3 at 192kbps

    Yea the audio is fine, i notice a couple of problems from Sync issues to the no audio for like 10 to 15 seconds in the beginning of the movie when there in the School hallway (not the very beginning) Also the audio seems to be less Bassy than PreVails version, But to me its still very good audio & deff. not CAM like someone else said.

    Guys I love the SCENE group releases but for those that say AXXO is bad when is the last time u downloaded an axxo rip that was out of synch, skipped frames, bad audio, missing scenes etc that needed to be “proppered”. Nothing wrong with having Scene and Axxo both.

    AXXO sucks, wow they can make a dvd 700 meg, after somebody else already has lol, go AXXO!

    Was maybe good a couple of years ago but no one needs AXXO anymore. Way too many fake AXXO files floating about too.

    Last AXXO movie i downloaded was a nic Cage film called “Next” out of sync bad.

    The Audio is terrible it cuts out for a few seconds at the start & distorts in places, & theres a quiet hissing all the way through in the background. Its a pisstake.

    A couple of years ago if you wanted a quality rip you went to aXXo, but now-a-days, anyone can Rip quality releases due to better software. People are also releasing DVDRips in MKV format and this allows for better quality than AVI but are no larger. So I think his releases should stay on torrent sites, for people who wait a week to watch a new film, it’d be 2 weeks if the quality was better.

    video is great, seen more detail than the cams and ts. But the audio is bad. Sounds like their on Helium, and audio.from.38m11s.to.38m31s was clearly a off synced cam audio. I would be embarrised watching this with friends. I would wait for a better release. V9

    i could only watch for 20 mins. Helium also came to my mind during those 20m. sam jacksons voice was the kicker though.

    Here’s something interesting. It seems the playback speed needs to be corrected. Here’s proof. Use SMPlayer to load it up, and hit the “[” just 1 time (Make sure the ‘Keep Audio pitch’ isn’t checked), and notice both the video and audio sound normal and the time is proper and in realtime.
    Somehow the playback info inside the avi file makes the video playback slighly faster then it should. Thats the reason the audio sounds faster. If you play it normally, it finishes faster in realtime then it should. Which is proof it’s playing slightly faster then it should be. Don’t know what program can correct this easily (Speed adjustment repairs)

    there was some audio issues…picture was excellent, and the audio issue is minor after having watched the entire film…with only a few problems not constant throughout the film…also im surprised that so many comments stated this film wasnt good…I loved it….if for nothing else then pure entertainment thrill ride value….it was cool….Academy Award quality…no….but fun….lighten up

    I finished downloading this movie from public tracker like 8 hours ago. Took approx 30 minutes to download. Don’t see why I should pay for RS, Usenet etc.

    Anyway the audio is not out of sync and not that bad at all, except it disappear a couple of seconds, you don’t miss anything important. Image is ok too. It’s an R5, you can’t expect a BD experience!

    I would give the story a rating of 55%. Not bad, not great, worth watching.

    Dont know what the complaint is about, got good audio 7/10 and great video 8.8/10. No sync issues for me. I did d/l from a private tracker @ 240kbps, well limit of my 2mb connection.

    I just don’t understand this whole scene he says she says crap… “they stole our audio” ra ra ra you stole it in the first place.. pirated means stolen.. they gave you props for the audio what more do you really expect… if musicians etc had this same sad everytime somebody remixed one of their tracks we’d have only half as much good music… its all just f***in crazy if you ask me.

    @53.. Good quality… bad quality.. axxo is reliable quality and no wasted space (great for the some of us on restrictive bandwidth)… and it’s not like anyone releases x264/AAC/anamorphic/MKV for dvd-rip etc i have to encode them all myself if i want them…

    aXXo + liDEL are best encoder.

    aXXo: takes 2CD releases with dozens of rars, and makes ONE AVI between 650-900MB – no ssub, no sample, just one plain AVI – and people LOVE it!

    liDEL: less known, encodes x264 and shrinks any movie by half in file size without sacrificing quality or resolution at all.

    The “scene” is good to get the source material, but aXXo and liDEL make the best out of it – and yes, there is no PROPER from aXXo or liDEL, because they know how to use mencoder . . .

    the audio is really messed up, theres a couple of seconds during the locker scene where it just goes missing. Throughout the movie you can hear some static, dont know if it is because im using bsplayer to watch it. Anyway, it is watchable, pic quality is very, very good and even with the audio beeing messy it is watchable. Thanks for post.

    video is excellent but there is something not quite right with the audio. Its not chipmunky as stated before. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I can say that it is out of sync just a hair. Maybe the camera and the dvd this was ripped from played at slilghtly different speeds. I know they do that when they play songs on the radio. They speed them up a hair to try to keep piracy down.

    OK I started with the russian DVD 9 and the prevail audio I ripped the video
    and did some chopping and cutting on the audio so it covers the full film the
    1st 30 seconds of prevails was cam audio so i decided to add the russian intro
    to begining (MVS added no audio) as it has no speaking u cant tell after i
    synced the 2 i ran it through some filters improveing the video quality it
    looks loads better hope you enjoy…

    well, no offence but i wouldnt say tbe audio was ‘fine’ – its topped and tailed by bad fades, theres noticably loud hiss, distortion and crackle early on (albeit only for a short while), and there are also a couple of drop outs (inc one point when it seems to switch to an earlier cam’s audio to fill a gap).

    but to be honest, that didnt bug me much at all, and certainly didnt stop me getting as much enjoyment as id expect from an average movie. hooray for rachel bilson.

    R5’s are like a cam-hybred, they never have perfect audio. it’s the best you’ll get until there is a DVDrip or SCR available… so just make the most of it, it’s not like you can take it back for a refund or something!

    fix for high pitch audio
    use VirtualDubMod
    Open the video file. If it pops a dialog about rewriting MP3 header, click No
    1. Click on Video –> select Direct stream copy
    2. Click on Video –> select frame rate set to 24
    3. Click on Streams –> select stream list right click the stream
    and selct full processing mode, then click compression and
    select mpeglayer3 128kbit/s, then click use advanced filtering
    then click filters add input, then stretch, then output click ok
    now double click stretch and put in 1.04674925
    4. Menu: File –> Save As…. Choose a new path and/or filename for the output file and click OK
    Takes about 6 minutes to do this
    this will add 3min 31sec in length to the movie
    and makes the voices sound more normal

    Just Go to Superfundo.org they have great quality rips! I only download from RLSLOG and Superfundo and I always Notice that when i see a new release here i go to superfundo and they have it! plus the torrents have more seeders so the download is faster! And I also had no sound issues with JUMPER except in the late beginning the sound fades out and i did notice that samuel L jackson’s Voice was a little high pitched but otherwise I think if your a movie fan this is a movie to watch and the audio thing wont effect the greatness of the movie.
