All rapidshare links to CD 1 are dead. Please up them with a random name or something so Rapidshare don't realise what the files are.

Alternatively up it somewhere else. The only available links are Megaupload which is crap!

"Great great surprise. Long live Judas Priest. Cant wait to hear this.
When the album comes out, GO and BUY it!!"

That's EXACTLY the sort of post we could do without here.

You haven't even heard the album yet !!!

It doesn't matter if the band are legends or not.
Listen to the album, THEN comment, and be honest with your opinions.

If only more people would follow this advice, but hey ! , this is rslog......

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean-Paul_Gaster

Gaster on file sharing

"As a musician, I think it is irrelevant to me. It exists and it is out there and no matter what I try and do about it, it will always be there. I don't mind kids trading tapes, that's totally cool. Videos are cool too. They only add to the live show. A kid might show that to some of their friends and they might think that we are cool and might come out and see us next time.

The reality is that an artist has to have a record go gold, before they are even going to see a dime. Bands put out 3 or 4 records on a label and never see a dime from record sales. So, it is not like people who are downloading would be putting a dollar in my pocket if they would have bought the record. The industry is set up so that the record company will immediately get paid from record sales. So...download all you want!!!

I think that the internet has changed the record industry and will continue to do so. The record labels will find some way to make money. I think that the artists main concern is to concentrate on their live performance and be the best artist that they can".

@ pussfilledwelts

You are talking down to me? The guy who has a complete 6 song digital video copy of Judas Priest opening up for AC/DC in Japan on the Stained Class album?

This is pre leather my friend, Rob has a kimono on.

I have yet to upload this extremely rare video to YouTube, but I assure you I will.

I have every single album, yes album, and cd from priest. I have some rare demo's too, I have seen them and fight collectively 12 times, I was even at in LA when Rob sang for Black Sabbath.

So don't tell me anything about what priests sound is. This album is on par with Turbo.

"As for Halford. If you didnt know he was a “crotch nosher” the very first time you saw him, then there is something wrong with you. But that does not take anything away from his talents as a singer."

I was 15 when I first saw Priest, and my family wasn't prone to prejudiced, so it wasn't even a thought. IMO, the people with the problems are those that publicly judge and label others out of insecurities/fears, miseducation, and the worst of all, learned hated.

FYI: Living After Midnight is on British Steel, not SFV.

"Halford just sings really bad, and the whole sound and structure is just so dated."

Halford sings with the same, well structured, operatic vocals he had when Priest first became known. Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin after Sin, you need to pick up some early Priest, my friend.

As for being dated, it is a concept album, you don't seem to get the whole concept of such a project.
Nostradamus lived from 1503 to 1556, how do you write a concept album based on events 500 years ago without it sounding dated? In fact, I think that's the whole concept here, operatic vocals, heavy orchestral sounds etc.

If you are one of those people who thinks Painkiller defines JP, then you need to learn the back catalogue.

If you are looking for more growl metal, such as Painkiller or Rob's stint with Fight, TWO and Halford, then you'll have to wait for his solo work.

If you are one of those who think the more commercial I'm a Rocker, Turbo and Parental Guidance truly defines Priest, then again, buy the back catalogue.

This isn't St. Anger, sorry, you just come across as a kiddie metal fan.

So Holland is in Prison for attempted rape of a child huh? Well from what I have heard about child rapists and prison, one does not survive long in there if you did that so we may never see him again or if we do he may have to take 60 doses of Imodiem and wear adult diapers just to keep his sh%t inside till he gets to the bathroom.

As for Halford. If you didnt know he was a "crotch nosher" the very first time you saw him, then there is something wrong with you. But that does not take anything away from his talents as a singer.

And you are right, they went downhill after Screamin for Vengence (Livin after Midnight-You got another thing Comin)

No matter, but do they know how burkin poofy they look still wearing leather at 60+ years old? Take some of your money and buy you some decent clothing for your age for cripes sake. Makes you just as sick to see them do this as it would to see a 90 year old trying to walk around in a string bikini.
