You are talking down to me? The guy who has a complete 6 song digital video copy of Judas Priest opening up for AC/DC in Japan on the Stained Class album?

I have every single album, yes album, and cd from priest. I have some rare demo’s too, I have seen them and fight collectively 12 times, I was even at in LA when Rob sang for Black Sabbath.

So don’t tell me anything about what priests sound is. This album is on par with Turbo.

I was 15 when I first saw Priest, and my family wasn’t prone to prejudiced, so it wasn’t even a thought. IMO, the people with the problems are those that publicly judge and label others out of insecurities/fears, miseducation, and the worst of all, learned hated.

FYI: Living After Midnight is on British Steel, not SFV.

Halford sings with the same, well structured, operatic vocals he had when Priest first became known. Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin after Sin, you need to pick up some early Priest, my friend.

As for being dated, it is a concept album, you don’t seem to get the whole concept of such a project.
Nostradamus lived from 1503 to 1556, how do you write a concept album based on events 500 years ago without it sounding dated? In fact, I think that’s the whole concept here, operatic vocals, heavy orchestral sounds etc.

If you are one of those people who thinks Painkiller defines JP, then you need to learn the back catalogue.

If you are looking for more growl metal, such as Painkiller or Rob’s stint with Fight, TWO and Halford, then you’ll have to wait for his solo work.

If you are one of those who think the more commercial I’m a Rocker, Turbo and Parental Guidance truly defines Priest, then again, buy the back catalogue.

This isn’t St. Anger, sorry, you just come across as a kiddie metal fan.

As for Halford. If you didnt know he was a “crotch nosher” the very first time you saw him, then there is something wrong with you. But that does not take anything away from his talents as a singer.

And you are right, they went downhill after Screamin for Vengence (Livin after Midnight-You got another thing Comin)

No matter, but do they know how burkin poofy they look still wearing leather at 60+ years old? Take some of your money and buy you some decent clothing for your age for cripes sake. Makes you just as sick to see them do this as it would to see a 90 year old trying to walk around in a string bikini.
