Description:In many ways the fifth Judas Priest studio album Hell Bent For Leather, released in 1978, is the band’s definitive album. The album was produced during the period they adopted the ‘leather & studs’ style breaking new ground in heavy metal sound and image. Although gothic themes are present the album isn’t truly dark or morbid, the band is as aggressive and brutally intense as ever. The blistering two-guitar attack and shred of Glenn Tipton and K.K. Downing comes with some serious attitude, and Rob Halford had established his quite unique, much lower and more menacing, vocal style. The album includes undeniable Priest classics and permanent fixtures in their lives shows such as, “The Green Manalishi” and the title track, “Hell Bent For Leather,” one of the great metal songs of all time.

    Know what I like? I like people who take a 24 Bit remastered CD, optimized for the best audio possible, and reduce it to 50 MB. Nice work, guys…

    Can we get a Lossless or FLAC version, please? If not, what’s the point of offering this remastered version?

    once again a completely useless rip on RLSLOG. A great album, nicely remastered and then compressed for idiots with i-Pods who don’t know the difference between quality audio and absolute garbage.

    This isn’t pop or hip hop, Priest fans expect quality audio.

    Why even bother ripping it to begin with???

    Remasters are vastly cleaned up versions of the original recording. Todays engineering tools make a far beter recording from the original bed tracks. Just don’t recompress it to MP3.

    Great album, I believe this is around 1976-77, just before Stained Class, Unleashed in the East and then their breakthrough album British Steel.

    It’s not for everyone, but it is great, quality rock n’ roll from the Mad Max/Road Warrior era of tunes. Right smack in the middle of Disco! Check it out if you want to see where heavy metal comes from!

    You’d think that the complainers have forgotten about those places called shops that sell these things called CDs where this music originates from.

    Scene releases follow their own rules, doesn’t matter if the source is a crackly POS vinyl or a disc made of platinum and diamond. You want lossless? Wait for a P2P rip or get the disc and rip it yourself.
