Group TheWretched released a dvdrip of STV thriller Joy Ride: Dead Ahead. This is a direct-to-DVD sequel of popular 2001 flick Joy Ride. Although it’s distributed by 20th Century Fox, I’m afraid it will somehow ruin the first movie. Quality is standard 1 CD with English and Spanish subtitles.

While driving across the country on their way to Las Vegas, two couples are forced to “borrow” a car from an apparently abandoned ranch house when their own vehicle breaks down in rural Utah. Little do they know that the car they took actually belonged to Rusty Nail, the cold, calculating killer who plays vicious and cruel games with his victims, often pursuing them in his ominous, black 18-wheeler truck. After one of their friends is kidnapped by the murderous trucker, the remaining travelers are forced into Rusty’s violent realm to play his sinister cat-and-mouse games in an attempt to rescue their friend and stop the killer before it is too late.

    This should be a pun, but, sadly, I think it is not. If it has highway violence, it has to be worth checking out. Especially if some b!tch driving a mercedes suv (while yakking on her cellphone and cutting others off like she owns the road based on her sticker price and self-appointed status) gets her due, then to me it’s worth all of the time and bandwidth in the world to see it. ;)
