Hmmm… What’s that I smell? Yet another in the endless series of Whedon and/or Dushku miserable failures that geeks will blindly slaver over and then spend the next couple of decades claiming was wonderful?

Whedon wouldn’t know quality if it bit him, any more then Dushku has the faintest idea how to act (and is getting way too old for the miss pissy pouty act to carry her). He can halt production all he wants, this is still going to crash-and-burn hard and fast.

I don’t interpret this as saying that the scripts are bad – just that he wants to put his own stamp on them.
As much as i love the guy’s work he’s clearly a control freak but I don’t have to work with him and he usually delivers the goods so let him do what he wants.

And be prepared to sign all the petitions to keep it alive six weeks down the line.

Hmmmm… not sure how I feel about this. Technically, Joss hired the writers that are doing the crappy work, so by saying the scripts are sh*te, he’s basically saying that he screwed up and hired the wrong people.

Dr. Horrible was phenomenal and I’m uberexcited about Dollhouse, but this kind of press tempers my excitement slightly.

If he was that much ahead of schedule, he should have said nothing.
