Hello all. Back from my vacation & I’d like to show you some new Mellencamp Material. Now for those who don’t know who this guy is … you might think of it like this. Some people love Adam Sandler, some hate him. There are very few middle-men. Mellencamp is in this same boat. His older works are in my best summer memories and I love his tunes. Rock, Folk-Rock or whathaveyou, group XXL brings us his latest. Although I don’t think his new stuff will chart-top like he did back in the day; it is full of powerful and meaningful songs. Life, Death, Love and Freedom is a 2008 Folk rock album by singer-songwriter John Mellencamp and produced by T Bone Burnett. It will be released on July 15, 2008. Life, Death, Love and Freedom will be the first ever release in the ΧΟΔΕ (CODE) format. T-Bone Burnett and his team of engineers developed CODE, a proprietary audio technology that creates high-definition audio files that are virtually indistinguishable from the original master tapes.

    While I like John, he would make a whole lot more money if he would stick to the Jack and Diane/ROCK in the USA/Pink Houses/Hurts so good formula that gave him so many top 10 hits. I mean chartering a helo to fly him from Seymore Indiana to Ft.Wayne and back for a concert is a complete waste of money (for cripes sake it is only a 90 min drive one way) and if he keeps doing this, he wont have much left.

    In an interview he did on WMEE 97.7FM he freely admitted that he “pissed most of his money away” and while he is comfortable, he is far from the rich rocker lifestyle that most people think he lives. All I know is chartering a helo at $1000.00 an hour is not spending wisely when he could have drove and spent less on gas then it would have cost him for 5 minutes in the Helo, and that is both ways. Maybe that is why his first wife left him(and yes that is his first wife and high school sweetie you see in the Jack and Diane Video)

    Just hope he dont end up like a lot of rockers who spend huge and then have nothing left in their later years (Chubby Checker-BB King-Sammy Davis Jr-Ayxl Rose and more others then I care to count.)

    Anyway, just wanted to say that I’m ambivalent about Adam Sandler’s work. Also, if for no other reason (there are many, to be sure) you should steer clear of this for having “freedom” in the title. He’s American, I get it. Heck, I myself am American - his music still sucks.

    @ “15″ i did a scan of “dingo_best” with norton and it didnt detect any trojans or risk of anytype, maybe someone double verify to just be sure, but seems clean to me. thank’ Dingo for the upload! much appreciated

    It just amazes me the ignorance of some people. John has admitted to anyone that will listen that this lady you see him with in the Jack and Diane video WAS his first wife. And that the video is made up of home movies. AND that he has “pissed most of his money away” and while he ia richer then most people, he is far and away not as rich as some would like to think. You can check with WMEE 97 out of Ft Wayne Indiana (90 miles north of Seymore Indiana, John’s hometown) and they will confirm the interview-the helo ride that he used to come to the Ft.Wayne War Memorial for a concert-AND the fact that he stated on the radio about most of his money being gone. See he had to give a major chunk to his first wife as he could not use her likeness without her permission. And if you ever get off your arse and get to Seymore Indiana, they will tell you the exact same thing as I am telling you now.

    So let me see, who do we believe, John and his hometown and the interview that he did, or some n00b who thinks he knows more then the artist himself? I think listening to and believing John in this case is a safer bet then believing you.
