Being 5,000 miles away from home and the channels which show decent sports… I’d love an alternative to Sopcast (7/10) and TVU Player (5/10). Anyone other than joe-mamma had experience with this program? Any good? (fingers crossed)

I tried this out, but it’s not a good TV. I tried to tune in “Lost” last night and I couldn’t find it. Also, no “CNN” and no “Oprah”.
It really isn’t a good replacement for a TV.
Online tv from other countries that speak a language other than english is a waist of time for me.
It’s a nice app but if you want something similar direct from the web try wwitv.com and it’s multilingual and free.
This really sucks. It has basically indexed free (crappy) web-tv streams (chiefly bad tv-channels with unlicensed content no body watch anyway) Anyone can find those streams with google or whatever. The movies just links to video streaming sites like megavideo, and some weird chinese one. Crappy quality there as well.

Its interesting, but alot of tv stations doesnt work… and dont know what means like sci-fi channel “Please Login”…

You are funny, but wrong. I lived in USA for a few years, in Brooklyn, NY. I needed to speak in spanish more than in english to the people there. Even though NYC is the largest city in the USA, many of its residents do NOT speak english.
I find that many of these kind off apps are a waste of time. Judging by the responses, I think I’ll give this one a miss. Thanks anyway.

This application is not good if you expect really good channels etc etc, what it does is that it acts as a hub to streams. You can probably find all the streams, channels, etc etc if you have the time and effort to do so, the only thing about this program is that it allows a easier way of sorting through everything. I dl’ed it, installed, used it for 20 minutes and said “no thank you.”
this app sucks. full stop. nothing good about it. wasted 5 minutes of my life downloading and installing it.

Tried this app out, rly good, well worth the download (either way its only 4 mb) Has ALOT of channels, but dont expect “E!” or “Comedy Central” type of channels, i got all i need, Russian and Ukranian channels

FYI it looks like the “adult channels” are just streaming short clips off pay-porn sites. and even with the patched exe it still says you should upgrade to pro? wtf?

I’ve been using JLC’s Internet TV (http://jlc-software.com/?page=internet_tv.html) for that. It’s completely free (except for adult channels) and has no ads but somewhat lacking feature-wise. Does anyone know if this one’s any better?

I’ve a lot of experience with these types of apps and each one has its pros and cons, it’s best to have 4/5 of them installed to get the full range - also depends what kind of stuff you want to watch
PPStream - best quality, great for movies, VOD, not so good for sports, English channels
SopCast - average quality, great for sport, some good channels too
TVU - has some good English channels, reasonable quality
Aunty - best range of European channels, quality average
PPMate - good quality, lots of cool Jap/Korean films/channels,
there are several others too of varying quality, and some have dubious installation procedures so be careful where you download them from
i use tvuplayer myself and i find it crappy due to my cable connection unable to keep up
i will try this to see how its like

2.A lot of choice of channels.
3.No need for extra program.
There are a few QT and RP Channels for those you’ll need
QT and RP or Alternative.
If you not want BSplayer try whatever player that can
play stream…..but to get one with multicapper ability
is not easy or one where you can set filter and format
If not BS then perhaps WMP Clasic. (If your on Window)

now, i think sceners doing internal releases is a bit lame, so whoever ‘leaked’ this gets my hearty congrats (even though im never going to use it) but at the same time, someone’s going to get SLAPPED!
on the other hand, its a piece of turd, so why the sceners so concerned about it getting into the wrong hands? these apps are usually made by shady individuals who have no exclusive (or otherwise) rights to screen the content, but still charge their end users a hefty fee (25 euros for this piece of pooh), just to check out some video streams… i mean, its a service, but hardly one thats worth paying for, so why are sceners worried about Jlgsolera finding out??
The best channel is netherlands TMf!!! no i dont speak dutch or whatever but I love this channel!! finally I can watch it live instead of downloading videos. but other than that I dont know.. I dont like it. I will stick with my joost
