Jimmy Carter Man From Plains 2007 LiMiTED DVDRip XviD-PreVail

This is a notable new documentary from “The Silence of The Lambs” Oscar-winning director Jonathan Demme. PreVail have really outdone themselves this time with a remarkable 2 CD release that includes possibly the highest video bitrate I’ve seen on a DVDRip (1438k) and DD (Dolby Digital) audio. With 78% fresh tomatoes on the notorious RT, and having done well with 3 wins in the Venice Film Festival, this is probably worth the try.

Synopsis: “Jimmy Carter Man From Plains” is an intimate, surprising encounter with President Jimmy Carter. Following the path of Mr. Carter’s recent controversial book tour for Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid, Academy Award©-winning director Jonathan Demme reveals a complex individual who, with the gusto and determination of a youngster, criss-crosses the country to get his message across, even as that message creates a media onslaught in which his credibility and judgment are called into question.

Barack is racist. Look at his pastor from Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. Obama has been going to that church for 20 years and listening to hate speech from his pastor. If Obama truly cared about equality he would have left that church.

It’s kinda terrifying when you realise that there are people who actually believe the nasty keep em stoopid claptrap that the amerikan media dishes out like slops in between the exercise equipment and old models new makeup commercials.

Carter was a terrible president. He was supposed to reform drug policies until he wimped out. On top of that his book on the middle east is filled with errors.

17- funny you say that considering when Carter was president, during his “loonng” 1 term. He approved increased military aid to Israel, a higher % than any president nor nation ever had since ‘48, even to this day; after the infamous “peace talks”, which resulted in nobel prizes as we all know. In the end resulting in the deadliest and longest “intifada” in the region.
24- obviously you’re not an american then. perhaps carter was the greatest u.s. president, the world ever had. bowing down to his euro counterparts and following their continued failed ideologies.

Without people like Jeremiah Wright white people would still think slavery is good. If it takes a so called “radical” speech to inspire people to speak truth to power– so be it. I am proud of Jeremiah wright for saying what the typical politically correct person won’t. White people don’t get called on their bullsh*t enough if you ask me.

  32. Voice of The Black Man
    March 23rd, 2008 | 19:49

and sure I may come off as being racist but the facts are the facts. Whites hold prejudices against blacks that are not fair and some times they are fair. The inverse is true in this case. The black community has prejudices against whites that, given the history of whites- no, given the recent history of whites, is justified. There is a saying, “What is a healthy black man with out a healthy dose of paranoia?” The fact that whites and people who have never experienced the extreme political, social, and economical injustice of America just shows the disconnect. I would take my kids to any church that births black presidents. Any church that can do that in spite of all the odds, is a good church in my opinion.

This whole conversation is getting silly. I’m done with it. Good luck in your endeavors.

  42. Voice of The Black Man
    March 23rd, 2008 | 21:52

@39 just for heck of it, I will. freedom is an opinion we have that there is a big list of things we can do as American Citizens. Guns, we have the right to kill if we need to defend ourselves from unrelenting government/oppressors. Speech, we can say what we want but we must be accountable for what our speech invokes (this second clause negates the premise). To assemble, meaning that we have the right to group together to protest or to organize in any civic duties (this is not complete and probable inaccurate, but its the best I can do.)
Funny thing about this is that the government would probable tape your phone and run counter intelligence on you if you got to big, even if you were relatively peaceful like the Black Panthers movement. Freedom of religion… bullsh*t, how many Muslims you see running for president? I bet 40 years from now when all of these classified documents are open to the public (if ever), you’ll see a whole lot of illegal actives by our government against Muslim Americans.
and now that I am tired of listing all this freedom as it relates to America. I would like to get to freedom on a more philosophical level. Freedom in the most holistic sense is akin to chaos. Free radicals roaming doing what ever they want. Yet Freedom in practice is a careful balance of the group mentality vs. the self. The group is to respect the rights of the individual and the individual is to respect the rights of others. Basically, your rights end when they threaten the lives of others. But then how do we explain such governmental practices as Eminent Domain? Where the rights of the individual are trampled so that land can be given to corporations or the government for economic reasons. Again, you only have the right which you can defend.

  43. Voice of The Black Man
    March 23rd, 2008 | 22:04

@42 if you don’t hold unfair prejudices against blacks then of course this doesn’t apply to you. but since you put the shoe on, you must feel guilty about something, what? You use the term n*gger? ha-ha, this hardly applies to you. This goes more along the lines of corrupt jurors, judges, and politicians using there positions to effect racist actions. In short, I care less what prejudices you hold, but more about your character as a whole and your actions. The question is essentially, what do you do with those prejudices? Not whether you have them to begin with. At least that is how I feel.

theres no excuse being a racist, no matter what skin color you are, especially if youve experienced in your lifetime. im not black and im not white, so ive had to deal with not being accepted by the 2 main racial groups growing up and i tolerate this bs from no one that isnt a 40+ year old african american. i was called a ni%%er everyday in school, and that was just because they didnt know what a spic was, yet i hold no grudge. not even to the cops that have pulled me over, including the one who ticketed me for a 59 in a 55 on a highway (no it wasnt a construction zone, it was a too far from philly zone) or the one who saw me walking home from the store when i was in the 6th grade and pushed me onto the hood of his car because i “looked guilty”. you cant expect something to change if you continue to not change yourself. people like jeremiah wright have not changed anyones opinion and they help continue a vicious circle. i met obama once, had lunch with him, my best friend is a 27 yr old state rep from pa, and obama is the man, the truth. if hillary is elected we have officially become and oligarchy, if mccain is elected we’ll be invading iran. i completely agree with the statement “What is a healthy black man with out a healthy dose of paranoia?” , but being the same doesnt make you or the country of ours better, being the same doesnt help change that. ive lived in the hood, knee deep in it, ive seen the inner-city schools and the difference between the suburbs, i seen how theres no cops on the drug blocks even though they know where they are (yes philly still has open air drug sales all over), but ive also seen too many people point the finger, take a stance, and do nothing, nothing to further community, nothing to help the kids, nothing to clean up the streets. maintaining a line, standing on one side of it and passing that down to younger generations, is never going to help erase that line, just keep making it longer, and the longer you take a stance like that, thats one more day the line was there because of you. and let me tell you, ive f’d white, black, brown, and yellow chicks, and its all the same inside, pink, and in the end thats all that matters (sorry, hadnt realized how serious i got on a bootleg movie posting).

Speaking of freedom. A prime example is the fact that freedom of expression is severely limited when, lets use this message board for example, words are censored. On this board there is a hidden list of words that, when a user attempts to post them, the board will deny the post. This is done in an attempt to “stop racism.” but the word (edited for board purposes) n*gger is no more racist than a stick is a weapon. It is how you use it. Context, connotation, interpretation. these things are mitigating factors within speech. But can a message board test for these? no. So, in a futile attempt at political correctness, the term n*gger is banned. You see, what is wrong with this system is that All while real social problems go unaddressed the board actually works to hinder positive discussions of race, for political correctness.

And so kiddies, this concludes todays lesson on freedom.

    March 23rd, 2008 | 22:21

@45 so you trade on false racism for womanizing? doesn’t matter. I agree with you and I do not think that by agreeing with what jeremiha says makes me racist. I think it makes me smart because I know what American is really like and I don’t lull myself into complacency and resting on my freedom laurels. I may not be the most active political figure but I do a lot for my community with what I have. and to me, that is all that matter.

love it how Reagan is being heralded as one of the great presidents by fox news.. but I remember in the 80s he was portrayed as more a puppet controlled by behind the scenes players, what did he accomplish in his 2nd term as he was crippled by his illness? He had charisma and likability more so than political nous, pretty much the complete opposite of Nixon.

Idiocracy is a movie Mr. Voice of a Black Man…

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/

The concept of unintelligent people enthusiastically outbreeding competent people, creating a future society which is irreversibly less functional. Demographic superiority now favors those least likely to advance the interests of society. Consequently, the children of educated elites become overwhelmed in a sea of promiscuous, illiterate, beer-swilling, jet ski-crashing peers.

Carter is the greatest ex-president. The irony of his pressure to have peace between Egypt and Israel is that he just helped Israel exist for an extra few decades. Israel will eventually be returned to the Palestinians but only after the US next major economic collapse. When the US is no longer willing or able to fund, arm and protect Israel, the rightful people will get their land back. BTW W, Bush is the President that has given the most money to Israel. When all he could scrape together as an economic stimulus plan was $250 to $500 for every American, he gave $5000 to every Jew in Israel. McCain or Hillary for President! McCain will destroy the US economy with his 100 years in Iraq, and Hillary will get the US into another war – this timewith Iran so she can pander to her New York Jew base. either way the US will be weakened and the Middle East, Latin America and the rest of the world will be free of the US imperial agenda!
