JFK Breaking The News HDTV XviD-EPiSODE

Normally, EPiSODE don’t release a great deal of good quality stuff, but this is a gem and a half. Some of you may/may not know that yesterday (Saturday) was 45th anniversary of John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s assasination and PBS’s Texas affiliate created this documentary. Very nice HD quality with rather surprisingly very good audio, this release provides an informative insight into how around-the-clock news were covered almost half a century ago…

“JFK: Breaking the News” offers a close-up look at how reporters responded to a national tragedy. Through the lens of journalists working in Dallas in 1963, audiences will learn about the moment-by-moment experiences of those who covered one of the most significant events in U.S. history. Their reflections also allow us to witness the remarkable rise of television as a primary source for breaking news coverage. Narrated by Jane Pauley, the documentary also reveals the tremendous technical obstacles that had to be overcome and the immediate journalistic decisions that accompanied the initial live remote broadcasts generated by television four decades ago.

    Guys, rlslog isn’t here to post links for you. That’s up to you. It’s a release info site. All you have to do is type the title followed by rapidshare or whatever into google and there you go. FFS

    Then other people shouldn’t blame the messenger because they don’t have the sources to get this. Some of us have better sources than others, this is a release info site and not a links-posting site.

    @ 13:

    I don’t post torrent links. I post links to searches on a couple of sites. Not the same thing. It’s just a little help without guaranteeing that a release will appear on those sites. If you can’t get a release then it’s not my fault, I didn’t make the post specifically for you.

    @Leandro

    I haven’t heard the Pope theory but one of the biggets myths is that Kennedy wanted to breakup up the Federal Reserve by issuing a bill that put green back currency back into the US economy.

    This is not true. This was mentioned in Jim Marrs book Crossfire were he references an article in the Spotlight newspaper but a week later the same newspaper issued a retraction of the story and the bill was not revoked until Reagen came to power.

    Mike Pipper who was an editor for the Spotlight and now its ofshoot American Free Press mentioned this on one of his RBN broadcasts.

    I downloaded this from newsgroups. It was a very insightful documentary. A lot of live footage. One part that really showed the difference in times is when a reporter stated that”Oswald has expired” and someone in the crowd says “He died??”, and the reporter says “Yes He Died”. I teared up when it showed Jackie with her young daughter in hand approaching the casket of her husband and kissing it and her daughter putting her hand up and touching it.

    Hey, rlslog,
    This is kind of off topic, but I was wondering maybe someone here could help me out.. I’m sure some of you have the experience.

    Just a few questions I have about premium file-host services (e.g. RapidShare, Megaupload, etc.)

    1) Is it worth the money, the whole premium thing? Or are there better ways of doing it free? Obviously you have torrents and the non-premium filehosts, but can they be compared in speed (remember, torrents have ratios you need to take care of, so keep that in mind, too).

    2) I used the RapidShare premium service for a couple of months, and I liked the speeds and the fact that pretty much everything was on RS, but I think the price was a bit high. Also, the new rules they added every now and then really pissed me off (limitations, TrafficShare costing extra, etc.)
    If I do decide to go premium again, I thought about Netload and megashares. Megashares’ price seems fair to me (6 months = $25 vs. RS’s 1 month for 17euro… you do the math, megashares turns out cheaper) But then I started wonering, maybe megashares has some fine-print I skipped over, something like the whole TrafficShare thing.
    So I thought, “hey, rlslog people will probably know”.

    So, can anyone enlighten me?

    Thanks

    November 23rd, 2008 | 20:59

    Dear 29. The way to go is rapidshares as a base and either megashares or megaupload as a second source. If you do that, you will find that 99% of the non-rlslog.net sites will support you. I’d include rlslog but since they changed management about 2 months ago, 90% of the direct download links disappeared. All that you can hope for here [and this file is a perfect example] is a torrent link that has probably expired and will take weeks to download, or an expire newsfeed link. That’s it these days here, but lucky for you the other dozen websites that used to compete with rlslog [and are now primary download link suppliers] still support rapidshares and all the other services. Like I said, they almost never come up with a REAL download link here anymore, this is no longer a good site to judge by. I hope that helps and nothing personal towards rlslog, it’s just that the new owner doesn’t care about download links, and it shows.

  32. one more thing
    November 23rd, 2008 | 21:12

    One more thing. Part of the misunderstanding lately here has been the owner watching documenteries [I'm assuming he has the National Geographic and History channels on his tele] and then just posting things he’s seen [and liked, and by the way I think he has good taste since many of these titles are great]. Unfortunately, most of them are not avaialable for download [both of those channels run a tight ship, and they use the feds to go after pirates like we brush our teeth in the morning] so the downloads just aren’t out there. MEMO to the person in charge, even though its a great title, and you think it should be avaialable, a majority of the time it isn’t. Please think first before posting. Thanks!

  33. megashares
    November 23rd, 2008 | 21:19

    Thanks for the replies.

    I didn’t mean rlslog specifically for downloading files. I’ve seen that IRFree, which has pretty much everything new, always post RS and NL links.
    On the other hand, sites like FreshWap always post megashares, and I’ve seens that some 720p episdoes, for example less-known things like CSI, are posted only on megashares via FreshWap.
    On the other other hand (that’s 3 hands already :P ) anything (even old content) can be found on RS, and that’s a big plus.

    So the question is mainly content vs. price.
    I’m not even sure about all the new RS rules, but if I read correctly an 80-gig limit per month seems unfair if TrafficShare can only be bought at a 100GB minimum.
    Or did I read something wrong?

    Thanks again

    Guys, get a reality check. We’re a release info posting site, not a link posting site. If you expect this site to post download links to every release we cover then you need to wake up. Either get download links from the comments, search links we provide or get better sources, like the ones we have. Over and out.

    36) Yes, thats it! If the losers that complain because you haven’t had a non-TV link that worked in the past month, only had NewsFeeds like you do! Then we would have all these releases that you post, that aren’t avaialable anywhere else on the planet. Wait, oh yea I tried that, and I found 3 working Newsgroup link spread over 11 posts, that hadn’t expired or been dead since Reagon was in office. It’s easy to brag about your source, when you don’t have to prove it. It’s easy to boast about the best source, when it’s your imagination.

    @39:

    I doubt if you had noticed but every one of those posts had screenshots of different parts of the release so I actually had to get it in order to take the screenies. If you can’t get it and I can then it proves that my sources are better than yours. Does that give you the right to blame me for your lack of good sources? No, it most certainly doesn’t….
